Every NFL team has a unique home-field advantage in this year’s “Madden NFL 22” from EA Sports, with the Cincinnati Bengals getting a funny one that the team should actually use in real life.

EA Sports revealed the advantages for each team, with Cincinnati getting the following: “Cincinnati Bengals – Who Dey: no huddle results in reduced clock runoff.”

It’s actually a big deal considering the Bengals project to be one of the favorites for online play this year in Madden after the addition of Ja’Marr Chase.

This advantage means more time at the line of scrimmage to make adjustments after prompting for a no-huddle in Madden. Granted, clock runoff can just be adjusted in the menus, but it’s still pretty notable.

And the no-huddle is probably something the Bengals should use quite a bit more in 2021 with Burrow back in the fold anyway, so kudos to Madden for giving the team something relevant with this new feature.

Check out the Texans’ home-field advantage in ‘Madden 22’

EA Sports released the Houston Texans’ home-field advantage at NRG Stadium for “Madden 22.”

The Houston Texans will have an interesting home-field advantage at NRG Stadium in “Madden 22.”

The NFL video game produced by EA Sports has a new feature where every team has a home-field advantage. For example, when a team plays the Jacksonville Jaguars at TIAA Bank Field, they will have to overcome the fact the Jags get bonus momentum when they score a touchdown.

What kind of home-field advantage did the Texans get?

If an opponent scores a touchdown against Houston at NRG Stadium, they just don’t receive as much momentum as they do in other stadiums. EA Sports dubbed this particular home-field advantage “The Bullpen.”

The Indianapolis Colts’ home-field advantage is being able to see the hat count for the opponent on all plays via the coach cam. The Tennessee Titans’ advantage is being able to avoid committing holding penalties.

Opponents scored 28 touchdowns against the Texans at NRG Stadium in 2020. The momentum must have been compounding as the Texans had a 2-6 record inside their own building.[listicle id=61409]

Check out Chargers’ home-field advantage in ‘Madden 22’

Find out what EA Sports did in attempt to enhance their gameplay with Madden NFL 22.

EA Sports’ Madden NFL 22 is going to hit the shelves soon.

This year, one of the biggest additions to the gameplay will be the home-field advantages for each NFL stadium.

With this feature, each of the 32 stadiums will have a unique effect on gameplay in the video game.

While the Chargers have yet to experience fans in SoFi Stadium yet, their home-field advantage is called “Bolt Up.” With this, Los Angeles gains bonus momentum for yardage gains when the offense has the ball.

It may seem generic, but at least the developers of the game are attempting to enhance the gameplay.

Here’s a look at Los Angeles’ AFC West rivals’ home-field advantages:

Broncos – “Mile High” (Away team has less stamina for plays)

Raiders – “Just Win Baby” (When winning, home team has increased momentum gain/fatigue recovery)

Chiefs – “Home of the Chiefs” (Away team’s audibles have a chance of failing)

Those purchasing the MVP or Dynasty Edition of Madden 22 will have the opportunity to play the game on Aug. 17 while the standard version will be released three days later on Aug. 20.

Few NFL venues are as intimidating for visiting teams as the Superdome, and New Orleans Saints fans have worked hard to keep it that way. It’s one of the loudest stadiums in pro sports, fueled by a raucous crowd, and it’s cool to see that home field advantage recognized in the next entry of the popular Madden video game franchise.

Madden NFL 22 will introduce bonuses for home teams, and players using the Saints might enjoy the strongest advantage of any team in the game. Per Thursday’s announcement, the Saints will have the “Who Dat” buff, which reads:

“On Away Team 3rd/4th down conversion attempts, a random receiver will have an incorrect route when he lines up in preplay.”

That’s very significant. While most other teams have various “momentum” or “fatigue” changes, teams playing against the Saints won’t be able to call perfect passing plays on critical downs. It reflects the communication issues that visiting teams have in New Orleans when the 70,000-strong crowd is on its feet, which feels appropriate.

But wow, this is going to cause headaches for opposing players. Imagine calling a play on 3rd-and-forever that floods three receivers to the left with a fourth pass-catcher streaking right into the open field — only for him to cut his route off far short of the sticks, leaving little chance of a conversion? It’s going to lead to frustrating situations. Which, again, feels appropriate.

It’ll be fun to see how that plays out in practice, once the new version of Madden launches later this year. Stay tuned for more details on how playing with (or against) the Saints will provide a different experience from other options.

Arrowhead Stadium to receive familiar advantage in ‘Madden NFL 22’

Arrowhead Stadium will feel a bit more like the home of the #Chiefs in #Madden22

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99pKCOZ3vE0

When you previously selected a field to play a game on in Electronic Arts’ Madden video game franchise, it was a drab experience. Choosing your favorite home field carried no weight other than vaguely looking like the stadium of your favorite team. They didn’t take anything that made each NFL stadium unique into consideration when it came to gameplay. That’s all about to change in the upcoming installment, though.

One of the newest improvements touted in “Madden NFL 22” is what they’re calling “Dynamic Gameday.” This new feature will bring changes to the in-game atmosphere, momentum and AI. It will help bring places like Arrowhead Stadium to life in an entirely new way.

Every NFL stadium will get home-field advantages as a part of the “Dynamic Gameday” features. Arrowhead Stadium’s advantage should be particularly familiar to fans. Known for having a raucous and roaring crowd, opposing offenses will have a more difficult time calling successful audibles against the Chiefs’ defense when they’re playing at Arrowhead Stadium. This advantage will be called “Home of The Chiefs.”

You can check out a full breakdown of all the different home-field advantages from YouTuber Zirksee, along with an explanation of momentum and how it will affect gameplay in “Madden NFL 22.”

Fans will only get to take advantage of these “Dynamic Gameday” improvements on next-gen consoles (PS5, Xbox Series S/X). You can pre-order the game before its release on August 20 to receive early access and test the all-new features.

5 Eagles who could be featured as ‘Madden NFL’ cover athletes in the future

5 Philadelphia Eagles who could be future ‘Madden NFL’ cover guys

The ‘Madden NFL’ reveal is a huge deal each summer and after EA announced Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes as their latest athletes, we felt it was a good time to analyze five current Eagles who could one day grace the cover of the legendary video game.

EA Sports with genius video tease to Madden NFL 22 covers

What players will be on the cover of EA Sports Madden NFL 22?

EA Sports nailed it with the release of its promo teaser for the Madden NFL 22 cover.

There will be a pair of G.O.A.T.s if you believe what you see.

And the company incorporated the most unlikely cover person from the past, former Cleveland Browns RB Peyton Hillis.

Hillis made the 2011 cover after rushing for 1,177 yards as a Brown in 2010. It was by far his best year in an otherwise ordinary career.

Okay, so one G.O.A.T. is fairly obvious, the youngster who plays quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tom Brady.

The other? Could it be Patrick Mahomes? Aaron Rodgers was NFL MVP in 2020. Or someone else? What’s your guess?

The official announcement will come Thursday at 10 a.m. ET.
