When you previously selected a field to play a game on in Electronic Arts’ Madden video game franchise, it was a drab experience. Choosing your favorite home field carried no weight other than vaguely looking like the stadium of your favorite team. They didn’t take anything that made each NFL stadium unique into consideration when it came to gameplay. That’s all about to change in the upcoming installment, though.

One of the newest improvements touted in “Madden NFL 22” is what they’re calling “Dynamic Gameday.” This new feature will bring changes to the in-game atmosphere, momentum and AI. It will help bring places like Arrowhead Stadium to life in an entirely new way.

Every NFL stadium will get home-field advantages as a part of the “Dynamic Gameday” features. Arrowhead Stadium’s advantage should be particularly familiar to fans. Known for having a raucous and roaring crowd, opposing offenses will have a more difficult time calling successful audibles against the Chiefs’ defense when they’re playing at Arrowhead Stadium. This advantage will be called “Home of The Chiefs.”

You can check out a full breakdown of all the different home-field advantages from YouTuber Zirksee, along with an explanation of momentum and how it will affect gameplay in “Madden NFL 22.”

Fans will only get to take advantage of these “Dynamic Gameday” improvements on next-gen consoles (PS5, Xbox Series S/X). You can pre-order the game before its release on August 20 to receive early access and test the all-new features.
