Former Duke football player Jamison Crowder given a 75 overall rating in Madden NFL 25

The last 1,000-yard receiver in Duke football history, Jamison Crowder remains a well-respected NFL player in the newest Madden ratings.

Despite heading into his 10th career season in the NFL, former Duke receiver Jamison Crowder remains a useful addition to an offense.

Madden NFL 25 released its individual player ratings for wide receivers on Monday, and Crowder earned a 75 overall.

The grade makes him the third-highest wide receiver on the Washington Commanders roster behind Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson.

Crowder, who turned 31 last month, finished the 2023 season with 16 receptions for 159 yards and a touchdown. He also served as the team’s primary punt returner, averaging 7.9 yards per return.

The developers at EA rewarded him with 87 speed, 91 agility, and 86 stamina.

Across his nine-year professional career with the Commanders, the New York Jets, and the Buffalo Bills, Crowder has 431 catches for 4,826 yards and 29 touchdowns. He tallied a career-high 847 yards and seven touchdowns back in 2016, and he caught a personal-best 78 passes with the Jets in 2019.

Crowder’s 3,641 career receiving yards in a Blue Devils uniform remains the second-most in school history, and his 23 career touchdowns sit third on the Duke record books. He set the program’s single-season records for receptions (108) and receiving yards (1,360) as a junior in 2013.

Seahawks’ Kenneth Walker No. 8 running back in Madden 25 ratings

Seahawks’ Kenneth Walker No. 8 running back in Madden 25 ratings

As we inch closer to the return of football, with it simultaneously comes the return of the popular Madden franchise. The latest installment, Madden 25, comes in mid August. Of course, the hype for the game would not be complete without revealing the top ten players at each position group.

The Seattle Seahawks were snubbed for wide receiver rankings, as neither DK Metcalf nor Tyler Lockett were represented. Fortunately, EA Sports did get it right when it came to the running back position.

Coming in at No. 8 with an overall rating of 88 is Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III.

Walker is a threat to take it to the house every time he touches the ball. Last year, Walker had 1,164 yards from scrimmage and nine total touchdowns for the man wearing the No. 9 jersey. Going into 2024, Walker should clearly be a focal point for Ryan Grubb’s offense, as the inability to feature him more consistently under Shane Waldron hurt Seattle’s consistency.

Historically speaking, the best Seahawks teams in franchise history were defined by an elite ground attack and defense. With Walker, they have at least the first half the equation solved.

49ers star RB Christian McCaffrey joins exclusive club for second time

After being named the cover athlete of Madden 25, Christian McCaffrey joined another exclusive club with the game.

The summer of Christian McCaffrey continues. After getting married, earning a new contract extension with the San Francisco 49ers and being named the cover athlete of the upcoming Madden 25 video game, McCaffrey joined an exclusive club within the game.

Before the game’s launch, Madden has been releasing some of the individual rankings for the upcoming 2025 edition of the legendary football video game. For the second time, McCaffrey earned a 99 overall ranking, joining the exclusive “99 Club.”

Via @EAMaddenNFL on Twitter:

McCaffrey made history with his latest ranking, becoming the first 49ers running back to earn a 99 overall. Trent Williams was the latest member of the 49ers to earn a 99 overall. Patrick Willis, Terrell Owens and Ken Norton Jr. earned 99s while wearing red and gold.

McCaffrey earned a 99 in the 2021 edition of the game. McCaffrey has been a 91 or higher since Madden 20.

Miami Dolphins star pass catcher Tyreek Hill is the only other player to earn a 99 overall ranking so far.

The highly anticipated game is set to drop on August 16.

Vikings safety trio’s overall ratings revealed for Madden 25

Minnesota Vikings fans now know what the Vikings safeties are rated when Madden 25 launches.

Death, paying taxes, and Harrison Smith’s high ratings in the Madden video game franchise are certain in life, and they’ve happened once again this year. The popular video game franchise has released overall ratings for different positions daily.

The safeties overall ratings were revealed and once again, Smith is considered one of the top in the game. He is considered the No. 11 safety in the game with an 87 overall rating. But Smith is a strong safety and there are only four strong safeties who are rated higher than him.

Vikings starting free safety Camryn Bynum is the 31st-ranked safety in the game. When Madden 25 launches, he will have an 81 overall rating. Then Minnesota’s Swiss Army knife, Josh Metellus, has a 77 overall rating and is considered the 53rd-ranked safety in the video game.

These ratings are subject to change as the year goes on. Madden will continue to update ratings based on how players perform.

Jayden Reed snubbed by Madden 25

Jayden Reed appears to have been snubbed by Madden 25’s ratings

EA Sports is preparing for the release of Madden 25, the flagship game series of the NFL. As the release date grows closer, ratings will start to get released to tease fans into the excitement of playing the game.

One set of ratings was teased by uStadium, ranking the top 50 wide receivers in the game. The rankings did not feature Jayden Reed, who is coming off of an outstanding rookie season with the Green Bay Packers:

Reed not being rated above an 80 overall feels like a major snub by Madden.

DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett are snubbed in latest Madden 25 ratings

DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett are snubbed in latest Madden 25 ratings

In life there are three constants: death, taxes, and another edition of the Madden video game franchise. Each year, EA Sports releases yet another version of the game, giving slight updates to rosters, teams and individual players. While the quality of the play will likely be the same, it still generates an incredible amount of hype… specifically seeing who the top rated players are.

Unfortunately for fans of the Seattle Seahawks, there are two noticeable omissions in the top 10 when it comes to the highest rated wide receivers: DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.

When looking at all the official ratings for every wide receiver in the NFL, you have to scroll quite a ways until you see either Lockett or Metcalf. For Madden 25, Lockett comes in at an 88 overall, and Metcalf is an 86 overall.

An 88 and an 86 are hardly pauper ratings, but they feel off for what Lockett and Metcalf truly bring to the field. The Seahawks are widely regarded as having one of the best wide receiver corps in the NFL, and it is in large part thanks to those two leading the charge.

The good news about Madden is the ratings are adjusted often during the season. I suspect once the games start and the league is able to see what they are able to produce in Ryan Grubb’s new offense, they won’t be ending the season in the mid-to-high 80’s.

Turns out Justin Jefferson isn’t the best wide receiver in ‘Madden 25’

The Minnesota Vikings best player is no longer considered the best receiver in the video game.

EA Sports is starting to release overall ratings for players in “Madden NFL 25” this week. On Monday, the wide receivers’ overall ratings were revealed, and Justin Jefferson is no longer the top dog. In last year’s iteration of the game, Jefferson had a 99 overall — the best rating a player can get.

Miami Dolphins star WR Tyreek Hill is the No. 1 receiver with the coveted 99 overall rating. Jefferson is behind Hill as the second-best in the game with a more-than-respectable 98 overall. Jefferson has a 92 speed, 93 agility and an insane 97 jump rating heading into the “Madden” 25 launch.

Jordan Addison, the Vikings’ second-year receiver, has an 82 overall rating in the game. He is ranked No. 41 in the game based on overall ratings.

All of these ratings are subject to change during the course of the season. So, if and when Jefferson has another elite season, it wouldn’t be shocking to see him move back up to 99.

Raiders Davante Adams still among highest rated WRs in Madden 25

Raiders Davante Adams still among highest rated WRs in Madden 25

The Madden 25 player ratings are trickling out. And one of the first Raiders players to show up among the top at his position is Davante Adams.

Adams’s rating is set at 94 for this season, putting him at sixth in the ratings.

Landing the top spot is Tyreek Hill with a 99 rating. Just behind him is Justin Jefferson with a 98. Then CeeDee Lamb’s 96, followed by AJ Brown and Amon-Ra St Brown who tied with a 95. Then Adams just missing the top five.

The 31-year-old Adams is coming off his worst season in six years. At least from a numbers standpoint. But it’s clear that EA Sports isn’t faulting him for it, nor should they.

Last season the Raiders had some of the worst QB play in the league. Beginning with Jimmy Garoppolo, then Brian Hoyer, and finishing out the season with rookie Aidan O’Connell.

Early on, the coaching of Josh McDaniels was also a hinderance for Adams and the Raiders offense. His frustrations with the offensive struggles along with not getting the ball were documented in the Netflix series Receiver recently.

He will be hoping for better days this season with whomever wins the QB competition between O’Connell and Gardner Munshew. At least in real life anyway. You can do what you like with him on Madden. With his rating he should improve whatever offense he’s in.

EA Sports: First-look trailer for ‘Madden 25’ NFL game features the #Bills:

The Buffalo Bills are shown in the first trailer for EA Sports’ upcoming “Madden 25” NFL video game.

That comes as no surprise. Bills quarterback Josh Allen was very recently on the cover of the game, after all.

But… Allen is not shown in the trailer. There is where we have a surprise.

Instead, it’s the Buffalo defense.

Some love for the other side of the ball from EA Sports.

LOOK: A first look at Commanders QB Jayden Daniels in Madden 25

A preview of Jayden Daniels in Madden 25.

We know who the cover athlete is for Madden NFL 25. San Francisco 49ers star running back Christian McCaffrey was recently chosen to be on the cover of the legendary game from EA Sports.

Now that we know who is on the cover, fans want to know what their favorite rookie will look like in the game. That is especially true for fans of teams who drafted a quarterback in the first round. In the 2024 NFL draft, there were six first-round quarterbacks.

Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels is the new quarterback for the Washington Commanders. One of the most exciting players in college football in recent years, Washington fans can’t wait to see Daniels donning the burgundy and gold this fall.

Thanks to X user @NickTheGoat29, we have an image of Daniels in Madden 25.

One of the biggest concerns regarding Daniels is his frame. He’s been called “too skinny,” even though he last weighed over 210 pounds. It looks like EA Sports put Daniels on an aggressive offseason plan to add weight here. The facial scan looks extremely accurate; the rest, not so much.

Madden 25 doesn’t come out until August 16, so there’s still time to get things right.
