Peyton Manning and Luke Bryan hysterically roasted the Jets with a CMA Awards joke involving Taylor Swift

Jets fans might want to avoid this one.

During Wednesday night’s CMA Awards, hosts Peyton Manning and Luke Bryan brought a little NFL-related humor to the audience at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.

The show’s opening monologue featured Bryan joking that he and Manning were hosting the show because “Travis and Taylor weren’t available,” referencing the recent romance between Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.

The two country music awards show hosts also got in a brutal dig in at the New York Jets by Manning setting up a joke about how the difference between Swift and the Jets.

Bryan’s answer: “Taylor can sell out a stadium.” Ouch!

You can watch the full monologue below.

Manning joked after Bryan’s punchline about how he’s glad he didn’t have to deliver that joke so he wouldn’t get in trouble.

Even if country music isn’t your cup of tea, this was a pretty great joke to get the CMA Awards kicked off… unless you’re a Jets fan, of course.

ESPN ‘College GameDay’ celebrity guest picker revealed for Georgia vs. Tennessee

Country music star Luke Bryan announces he’ll be in Athens this Saturday as the celebrity guest picker ahead of the UGA vs. Tennessee game

ESPN’s “College GameDay” will be live from Athens this Saturday for what will be one of the biggest games of the season in college football: Georgia vs. Tennessee.

For such a big-time game, ESPN’s flagship pregame show needed an equally big-time celebrity guest picker to join the crew on stage.

And that’s exactly what they got. Country music star Luke Bryan announced on Twitter on Thursday that he will be the guest picker on Saturday in Athens.

“What’s up ESPN GameDay, Luke Bryan here coming in to be the Celebrity Guest Picker. Coming in for my Bulldogs, to watch the Bulldogs beat the Vols,” revealed Bryan. “Make sure you guys tune in at 11:30 Eastern to see my picks, I’m going to go like 12-0, no doubt.

“I’m going to stick around, watch the game, cheer the Bulldogs on. Make sure you guys tune in Saturday morning.”

Bryan, a Leesburg, Georgia, native and graduate of Lee County High School and Georgia Southern University, is ready to cheer on his Dawgs on Saturday.

Tim Tebow reveals he auctions off his Heisman Trophy every year and Luke Bryan’s done weird stuff to it

Seriously, Tim Tebow auctions off his Heisman and Georgia fan Luke Bryan got it.

Tim Tebow has raised some serious money for charity by doing something kind of awesome: He auctions off his 2007 Heisman Trophy every year for a bunch of money.

And sometimes, some famous people win the bidding.

This is something that I just found out, even though it’s been out there before. While speaking to Dan Patrick on Monday, Tebow was asked about where his Heisman was, and he said for the past near-decade, he’s auctioned it off for people to have in their homes from six months to a year.

Turns out country star Luke Bryan won it recently … and he did some funny stuff to it because he’s a Georgia fan!

Peyton Manning to co-host CMA Awards on Nov. 9

“To have the chance to stand among so many incredibly talented artists is an absolute honor,” Peyton Manning said.

Peyton Manning certainly stays busy in retirement.

Manning has stayed closely connected to the Denver Broncos, and he’s filmed multiple commercials in recent years, and he’s been working with ESPN on various projects, and he produced a game show this year.

Now he’s been booked to co-host the Country Music Association Awards show this fall. Manning and his friend, country music star Luke Bryan, will co-host the CMA Awards show on ABC on Nov. 9.

“I am such a huge fan of country music, so to have the chance to stand among so many incredibly talented artists is an absolute honor,” Manning said in a statement Monday.

Manning joked in an Instagram post that one of his recent on-stage performances with Bryan was his “audition tape” for co-hosting the awards show.

Manning has also made appearances at Kenny Chesney concerts in the past, and he’s made it well-known that he’s a big country music fan.

A two-time Super Bowl champion and a five-time NFL MVP, Manning retired after winning Super Bowl 50 with the Denver Broncos in 2016.
