At least one of the three injuries suffered by members of Matt LaFleur’s team during Sunday’s win over the Minnesota Vikings isn’t believed to be serious.
According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Packers offensive lineman Lucas Patrick received “good news” after tests on his injured shoulder and may actually be ready to play in Week 2 against the Detroit Lions.
Patrick suffered the injury in the first half on Sunday and didn’t return. He was replaced at left guard by Elgton Jenkins, who had started the game at right tackle.
Patrick played 32 snaps before suffering the injury.
LaFleur had Patrick at left guard in response to a knee injury to Billy Turner, the likely starter at right tackle. Jenkins moved out to tackle, and Patrick, who now has seven career NFL starts, took his place inside.
The Packers also saw defensive tackle Kenny Clark (groin) and offensive lineman Lane Taylor (knee) go down with injuries. Neither returned. Taylor needed a cart to leave the field in the fourth quarter.
The Packers may need Patrick to start again on Sunday if Taylor isn’t able to play, although the potential return of Turner could give LaFleur options along the offensive line.

The Green Bay Packers gave backup offensive lineman Lucas Patrick a two-year extension that included a $350,000 signing bonus, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Patrick, who has played in 39 games and made six starts for the Packers the last three seasons, was scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
The two-year deal is worth a total of $3.6 million, giving Patrick a substantial raise over the $645,000 base salary he made on his one-year deal in 2019.
Patrick, an undrafted free agent from Duke, earned a contract after a rookie tryout in 2016, made the roster in 2017 after a year on the practice squad and has been a valuable backup interior lineman ever since. He played 54 snaps at center after Corey Linsley went down with a concussion in Dallas earlier this season.
The deal should keep Patrick under contract in Green Bay through the 2021 season.

The Green Bay Packers announced a contract extension for backup offensive lineman Lucas Patrick, who would have been a restricted free agent following the 2019 season.
Patrick has stuck around as a versatile backup along the interior of the offensive line, playing in 39 games and making six starts over the last three seasons. In 2019, Patrick has been on the field for 69 total snaps on offense, including 54 as a fill-in when center Corey Linsley suffered a concussion in Week 5 against the Dallas Cowboys.
Patrick started games at left and right guard in both 2017 and 2018.
The Packers signed Patrick as an undrafted free agent following a tryout in 2016. He spent his entire first season in Green Bay on the practice squad.
Patrick played the 2019 season on a one-year, $645,000 deal.
Saturday was the deadline for contract extensions counting towards the 2019 salary cap.
