Texas Longhorns basketball is rolling onto the Sweet 16.

Texas showed their experienced prowess late in their opening-round win over No. 15 Colgate to take a 81-61 victory. In their second win, No. 10 Penn State made things difficult.
The Longhorns coughed up a late lead, 58-55, but tightened up defensively and topped Penn State, 71-66. Dylan Disu’s season-high 28 points and 5-for-5 effort down the stretch was a welcomed effort, too.
That outing propels Texas into the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2008. That game between the second-seeded Longhorns and No. 3 Xavier is being called the top matchup of the next round.
