2023 LIV Golf Team Championship prize money payouts for each team in Miami

It pays to play well on the Saudi-backed circuit.

DORAL, Fla. — It pays to play well in the LIV Golf League, just ask Crushers GC.

Bryson DeChambeau’s team finished at 11 under to win the 2023 LIV Golf Team Championship and claim the top prize of $14 million Sunday at Trump National Doral’s Blue Monster. Bubba Watson’s RangeGoats GC finished runner-up, with Joaquin Niemann’s Torque GC in third and last year’s champions, 4Aces GC led by Dustin Johnson, in fourth.

All four scores counted in Sunday’s final round, which is different from LIV’s regular-season events where the lowest score is dropped each day. The semifinal winners competed for the top-four places (Tier 1), while teams to lose on Saturday competed for places 5-8 (Tier 2), with Friday’s losers going for places 9-12 (Tier 3).

But remember, team prize money goes back to the team at LIV events. In the Team Championship, the teams keep 60 percent and each player takes home 10 percent. Not too shabby for three days (at most) of work.

Here’s how much money each team earned this week near Miami.

LIV Golf’s individual prize money list features 11 players who have earned more than $10 million

Talor Gooch has earned more than $20 million in individual winnings.

You can’t talk about LIV Golf for long without bringing up the exorbitant amount of money the players compete for each event.

With $20 million up for grabs at regular season events ($4 million to the winner), it certainly pays to play well in the LIV Golf League, just ask the likes of Talor Gooch, Dustin Johnson, Cameron Smith and Brooks Koepka.

The four players have each eclipsed $19 million in individual prize money across the last two LIV Golf seasons, with Gooch as the only player to hit the $20 million mark. Across 20 regular-season events, 11 players have earned more than $10 million by themselves, and that’s without including how much they each made upfront for signing with the upstart circuit financially backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund.

As the season comes to a close this weekend at the 2023 LIV Golf Team Championship at Trump National Doral, here’s a look at who has cashed in for the most individual prize money so far (We’re using individual prize money only as team prize money can be distributed in different ways within each squad).

It pays to play well in the LIV Golf League, just ask Brooks Koepka and Talor Gooch.

Koepka, 33, defended his title and won for the third time since he joined the Greg Norman-led and Saudi Arabia-backed circuit at the 2023 LIV Golf Jeddah event at Royal Greens Golf and Country Club in King Abdullah Economic City on Sunday. For his efforts, Koepka will take home the top prize of $4 million and has now made $13,397,333 on the course this season.

Gooch lost in a playoff to Koepka but will get the last laugh on the way to the bank as the 31-year-old won the season-long individual championship to claim the lucrative $18 million bonus. He earned $2.25 million for finishing second.
