Ekiyor Jr., Eboigbe Outland Trophy Watch List

Two Tide members land on the Outland Trophy watch list ahead of the 2022 college football season!

Emil Ekiyor Jr. is a veteran guard with 29 career starts under his belt. He was a key component of the Crimson Tide’s 20221 offense that was ranked top ten in virtually every single offensive statistic. With an outstanding 2022 campaign, Ekiyor can greatly improve his draft stock.

On the other side of the ball, Justin Eboigbe will be starting on the defensive line for the first time in his career. Through three seasons in Tuscaloosa, Eboigbe has posted 48 tackles with two sacks and two fumble recoveries. At 6-foot-5 and 252 pounds, Eboigbe has the frame to be the next great disrupter on the interior defensive line.

Both Ekiyor and Eboigbe have been recognized on the Outland Trophy watch list ahead of the 2022 season. The Outland Trophy recognizes the nation’s most outstanding interior linemen on offense or defense.
