Among the many unexpected things to happen during 2020 and the longest season in NBA history is that LeBron James isn’t home to celebrate the 16th birthday of his eldest son, Bronny, because he’s in the middle of the NBA Finals in early October. But while LeBron isn’t able to be with his on for his birthday, he wanted to let Bronny know how much he means to him and authored a long, heartfelt message to him on his Instagram on Tuesday morning. LeBron and the Lakers are preparing for Game 4, in which the Heat could get back center Bam Adebayo. James also shared a precious collection of photos of Bronny, dating back to when he was just a newborn.

While LeBron has been joined in the bubble by his wife Savannah and the two were able to celebrate their anniversary, the James family elected not to have their kids inside the bubble because James believed it was not a very “kid-friendly” place with little to do.

LeBron and Savannah James celebrate 6th wedding anniversary in the bubble

LeBron James and his wife Savannah celebrated their 6th anniversary inside the NBA Bubble on Monday.

The extended rest may not have been the only reason that LeBron James came out motivated on Saturday night to close out the Houston Rockets and their second-round series. It likely added a little motivation that Monday was his 6th wedding anniversary and he wanted to spend the day celebrating with his wife Savannah and not expending energy trying to close out the Rockets.

James shared on Monday that it was the anniversary of his marriage to Savannah James and proceeded to share a collection of photos of his wife from over the years. James, however, did not share any photos from their celebration inside the bubble. Luckily Savannah took care of that, showing us a Disney dessert for her “Disneyversary.”

Even the cookies are Disney-themed inside the NBA Bubble and congrats to both LeBron and Savannah for being able to celebrate their anniversary together without having to work around an NBA Playoff game in this strangest of postseasons.

LeBron says kids didn’t come to bubble because ‘there’s nothing to do’

LeBron James is joined by his wife Savannah but he doesn’t plan on having his kids join him because it’s not a very kid-friendly place.

No matter how long the Los Angeles Lakers playoff run lasts inside the Disney World bubble, LeBron James doesn’t anticipate seeing his children until it’s all over.

LeBron and the Lakers got back on track in their best-of-seven series against the Houston Rockets on Sunday night, evening their series at 1-1. LeBron has been joined by his wife Savannah in the bubble now that families are allowed to join, but he said that he doesn’t expect to see his family inside the NBA bubble on Lake Buena Vista. The reason? The NBA Bubble isn’t a very kid-friendly environment, with very little for his kids to do.

Although the Lakers are on the property of Walt Disney World, they are not allowed to go to the theme park and they have a selection of recreation opportunities, such as golfing and fishing, which have already been exhausted by the players after the first month. With his children ranging in ages 14 to five, they would likely be much more comfortable at home than in a hotel room for an indeterminate amount of time.

LeBron James says ‘it’s a blessing’ to have wife Savannah in bubble

LeBron James is being joined by his wife but his kids and his mother remain outside of the NBA Bubble.

[jwplayer FPVlBmRz-z6KDnl0B]

NBA players inside the bubble had to wait for nearly two months before they would have an opportunity to see their families or other select guests. LeBron James is one of many players who has taken advantage of the opportunity, but the only family member he has visiting him right now is his wife, Savannah, which is something he is very thankful for.

James talked about what it means to him to be able to have his wife with him inside the bubble, but he did say that his children and his mother are both at their respective homes and not currently in the bubble.

Given the pandemic and school starting up again, there could be a variety of reasons for why the whole family isn’t there. Players are also limited to the number of guests they can have right now, but the restrictions will change as the playoffs continue.

However, coaches have been left out of this. Nuggets coach Mike Malone called attention to the fact that coaches aren’t allowed family guests, which LeBron James agreed is not right on the NBA’s part.

Savannah James shares hilarious LeBron impersonation from son Bryce

Nobody does a better job of impersonating LeBron James than his son Bryce Maximus.

We always knew that LeBron James has a sense of humor, but now we also know the apple clearly doesn’t fall far from the tree. We haven’t heard a ton from LeBron James outside of his media availabilities and performance in scrimmages since he went to the bubble, but it’s the first time in months that James will be away from his wife and kids. But just in case they miss LeBron while he’s at the bubble, the greatest LeBron impersonator there isn’t too far away, LeBron’s son Bryce Maximus.

On Saturday night, Savannah James shared the pure greatness of their son Bryce’s impersonation of LeBron, which was so good his older brother Bronny could hardly hold it together in the video, while Savannah said she was “in literal tears.”

This is the first summer in quite some time that the James kids are not traveling around the country playing youth basketball, which is quite understandable given the pandemic, but Bryce has clearly had time to work on his LeBron impersonation and for that, we’re very thankful.

LeBron says hardest part of quarantine was time away from Mom

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James said it was hard to be away from his mother while he was on lockdown in L.A.

LeBron James took his fans into his world while he was on quarantine in his L.A. with his wife and kids, but there was one thing that was glaringly missing for the duration of the quarantine: his mother, something he has never experienced before in his life.

LeBron spoke to reporters on Monday about life in the NBA bubble, but he also touched on what his life was like while in quarantine and he said above everything else, his inability to see his mother for an extended period was the hardest part.

Ben Golliver of the Washington Post has the video of LeBron talking about how tough it was being away from his mom, who was quarantined in their hometown of Akron, Ohio.

James and the Lakers have been inside the NBA bubble for almost two weeks. Yesterday, they had an intrasquad scrimmage but in only a couple of days, we will get to see them play against another team when they scrimmage against Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday.

LeBron James ‘hated to leave’ family on his way to NBA Bubble

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James said goodbye to his family for a while as he and the squad go to Disney World.

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is officially on his way to Disney World. The Lakers are scheduled to arrive this evening at the Walt Disney World campus and the Gran Destino hotel, where they are hoping they will be for the next 3-4 months, as the NBA looks to finish the season and win the franchise’s 17th NBA Championship.

James shared with his twitter followers that he had finally said goodbye to his family while he goes to Orlando, saying that he hated to leave. He compared the experience of not being able to see his family for the next couple of months to the same feeling people have when they go to jail. Exaggeration aside, you get the point that he will miss his family.

James wasn’t the only one to use that comparison when it comes to the thought of leaving his family for an extended period. Damian Lillard made a similar comparison on Thursday.

Players will be dealing with unprecedented circumstances and even though their Disney World accommodations are much nicer than what most of us are used to, the adjustment will clearly take some time for NBA players.

LeBron James shares heartfelt Mother’s Day message for wife and mother

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James made sure that the two mothers in his life were recognized by his millions of followers.

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James took the time to shine a light on two of the most important people in his life on Sunday, sharing heartfelt messages to his mother Gloria James, as well as his wife, Savannah James, on Mother’s Day, for the role that they have played in his life.

For his mother, Gloria, he still looks at her in awe for all that she did in helping raise him in a difficult in Akron, Ohio before LeBron became one of the greatest players to ever play the game. That feeling of gratitude stays with him even now and he made sure his mom felt love. LeBron also recently gave Gloria credit for helping inspire the creation of the I Promise school in Akron.

Then James shared a message about his wife Savannah and her love, as well as how she leads what LeBron called their “3-headed monster,” aka their three children.

LeBron James shows off his daughter Zhuri’s Harley Quinn outfit

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and his daughter have apparently been watching the new Harley Quinn cartoon.

LeBron James has been spending more and more time with his family, which means like for most of us, he’s spending more time watching shows, movies and other things with his family that he hasn’t had the opportunity to do before. And it appears that one of the shows appears to be the James family has stumbled upon is the Harley Quinn animated series, set in the Batman universe, which has received rave reviews. Among those strong reviews is one from the James household and in particular, LeBron’s daughter Zhuri James.

LeBron showed off Zhuri’s Harley Quinn outfit while also shouting Margot Robbie, who has played the role Harley Quinn in several movies.

There’s been a pause on the production of movies and other shows during the coronavirus outbreak, but people have nothing but time to go through movies and shows, if they are available. The James family, or at least the youngest member of it, seems to have found a new favorite.

LeBron James says spending 24/7 time with family is ‘a blessing’

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James told reporters on Wednesday that he’s glad he gets to spend so much time with his family.

Among the ways in which LeBron James is spending his time, between putting himself through rigorous workouts in his home gym or joining his kids on TikTok, one of the things that James has been working on, he told reporters in a Zoom conference call on Wednesday, is expressing gratitude for what he has in his life while also increasing his meditation practice, according to our own Mark Medina of USA TODAY.

To keep himself inspired, James has adhered to a strict routine. He goes to sleep using the Calm App, which plays uplifting stories and inspiring music. He wakes up feeling invigorated because he sees his sons (Bronny, Bryce) and daughter (Zhuri) have what he calls “a positive mindframe.” After eating, practice and training, James has kept himself engaged in other ways. He will meditate for 10-minute intervals. He will complete breathing exercises. He will express gratitude for his various accomplishments and fortunes. He then enjoys free time with his loved ones.

“It’s definitely been a bit of a blessing to be able to be here 24/7 and be here with your family,” James said. “And being able to – I don’t want to say ‘recoup’ the time, because that’s one thing you cannot do. Time waits for no man and you can’t do that. But to be able to appreciate it and be in this moment, it’s been pretty cool. Even though I’ve missed the game of basketball like none other.”

During a time where it’s hard for people to take themselves out of their own situation, expressing gratitude for what is going well is a positive way to deal with the circumstances. Obviously, LeBron misses basketball and it’s hard to blame after the season he had in Year 17, but he knows that he’s getting a chance to do things that he wouldn’t be able to do otherwise.

LeBron is trying to stay positive, as is the rest of the league when it comes to hoping there is some type of way to salvage the 2020 season and eventually crown a 2020 NBA Champion. After missing the playoffs in 2019 for the first time since 2006, James was primed to show what he could do during his first career appearance in the Western Conference playoffs.

Both James and Lakers president Rob Pelinka, as well as several other players and decision-makers, have also expressed their hopes to keep the possibilities open when it comes to figuring out some way to close out the season, without live fans in attendance.
