Prediction

Lakers 115, Warriors 110

Moneyline (ML)

Despite not having LeBron, the Lakers (-556) are still massive road favorites over the Warriors (+400). The Lakers have played incredibly well, as of late, winning six-straight games. Meanwhile, the Warriors have lost seven-straight and another seven in a row at home. However, there just isn’t enough value on either side. PASS on this chalky moneyline in favor of another bet.

Line/Against the Spread (ATS)

The Lakers -9.5 (-115) open this contest as nearly double-digit road favorites against the WARRIORS +9.5 (-106) without their best player. However, that just feels like far too many points for a team that is so reliant on their two superstars to carry them from night in and night out. It’s worth noting that the Lakers recently beat the Warriors at home, but only by five points and that was with James in the lineup. While they should get the “W” again this time, expect Golden State to keep this game close throughout and cover the 9.5 point spread.

Over/Under (O/U)

The total for this Western Conference matchup is set at 221.5, which feels low considering how poorly the Golden State Warriors’ defense has been this season. The Warriors are allowing over 115 points per game this season, seventh-most in the NBA. While LeBron James won’t play, still expect the OVER (-121) to hit as the Lakers should come close to scoring 115 or more points even without their superstar.

Prediction

Lakers 125, Warriors 107

Moneyline (ML)

The Lakers are huge favorites in this game at home at -1112. They are 17-7 at home, while the Warriors (+700) are only 5-23 on the road. The Lakers are at full strength and the Warriors are one of the worst teams in the league.

Take a hard PASS on the money line. The Warriors would need a miracle to beat a Lakers team at full strength and betting on the Lakers isn’t worth the wager.

Line/Against the Spread (ATS)

The Lakers are big favorites at -14.5 (-106). Los Angeles is 14-12 ATS on the road this season. Golden State is 11-13 ATS at home. With a big spread like this, it is a tough pick either way. However, the Warriors no longer have DeAngelo Russell after trading him to the Timberwolves and now have to work Andrew Wiggins into their offense, while Draymond Green might miss tonight’s game. This looks like a blowout. Take the Lakers and give up the points at -14.5 (-106).

Over/Under (O/U)

The total is set at 223.5 for the game. Lakers games go Over more often than not on the road, as they are 14-12 O/U away from Staples Center. Golden State is 10-14 O/U at home. However, with perhaps no Green in the lineup, the Warriors defense will not be able to keep the Lakers from putting up big points.

Expect the Lakers to score in the 120s, so the Warriors just have to get to 100, something they have failed to do only once in the last six games.

Take the OVER (-106).
