Kyle Van Noy challenges Patriots fans to channel Tacko Fall love in Week 16

Van Noy is hoping for next-level support on Saturday.

Kyle Van Noy had a request for New England Patriots fans. He wanted fans to show his team the same amount of love as Boston fans did for Tacko Fall at TD Garden on Saturday night.

The building was absolutely hyped with hopes of getting Fall into the game during garbage minutes at the end of the Boston Celtics’ 114-93 win over the Detroit Pistons. And Celtics coach Brad Stevens made fans work for Fall. He waited for their volume levels to hit absurd decibels. That’s when Stevens inserted Fall into the lineup, and somehow, the fans got even louder.

That’s the level of excitement that Van Noy is hoping for.

Here’s a look at the moment with Fall.

Surely, that kind of support would help the Patriots for Week 16 against the Buffalo Bills, who are nipping at New England’s heels in the AFC East divisional race.

Kyle Van Noy reacts to Patriots’ Pro Bowl snubs

The Patriots have three Pro Bowlers this season, but some key players didn’t make the cut.

The New England Patriots have three Pro Bowlers this season, but some key players didn’t make the cut.

Stephon Gilmore, Dont’a Hightower and Matthew Slater were the ones that earned the honor. Some players that have had seasons worth a Pro Bowl nod are Jamie Collins, Jake Bailey, Julian Edelman, Joe Thuney and Kyle Van Noy.

Van Noy is one of the most outspoken Patriots, and he expressed his disappointment with a tweet on Tuesday.

He followed up with this tweet shortly after.

He still acknowledged his teammates for the honors.

Van Noy has a history of proving people wrong and gaining fuel from situations like this. He’s sitting at a career-high 6.5 sacks right now and is a key component in this New England defense, but this won’t be the season he earns his first Pro Bowl nod.

Patriots’ Kyle Van Noy named Week 14 NFLPA Community MVP

Kyle Van Noy has had an incredible impact on and off the field this season.

New England Patriots linebacker Kyle Van Noy has made an incredible impact on and off the field this season.

Van Noy was named the Week 14 NFLPA Community MVP, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. He is also the Patriots’ nominee for Walter Payton Man of the Year award.

With the holidays around the corner, Van Noy held a celebration for 153 financially disadvantaged foster families at his ‘A Very Van Noy Christmas’ event.

Van Noy is in his fourth season with the Patriots and he’s at a career-high 6.5 sacks through 13 games. He’s become a leader for the defensive unit, and that leadership continues to spread around the community.

He grew up a foster child, so he and his wife, Marissa, have created the ‘Van Noy Valor Foundation’. They’ve put efforts together to help foster children and Patriots owner Robert Kraft discussed their impact.

“We are happy to nominate Kyle Van Noy for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award,” Kraft said. “We are so proud of Kyle’s accomplishments on the field as a New England Patriot, but even more so of his character and his contributions in the community. His Van Noy Valor Foundation has helped countless children and families. He and Marissa are remembering their childhoods and how foster care and adoption positively impacted their lives. Kyle’s personal connection to the reason behind their foundation is inspiring.”

Eagles vs. Patriots: 4 things to watch on offense

Eagles vs. Patriots: 4 things to watch on offense

The Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots will square off Sunday afternoon at Lincoln Financial Field in a Super Bowl LII rematch and a huge contest that could go a long way towards solidifying the Birds playoff chances.

It’ll be the first and possibly the last matchup between Carson Wentz and Tom Brady. With Bill Belichick being one of the most brilliant minds in the sport, here are four things to watch when the Eagles have the football.

***

1. Miles Sanders vs. Dont’a Hightower

The Eagles need a big game out of Sanders and if this season has been any indication, it’ll likely happen in the passing game. The Patriots are stout on defense but can be had with the right formations or matchups. Sanders on any of the Patriots linebackers makes for a matchup that favors the Eagles. In the running game, if Jordan Howard can’t play, look for the Eagles put Sanders in positive situations as a runner, especially after the Ravens averaged 5.96 yards-per-attempt on the ground in their win over New England.
