Former [autotag]Ohio State[/autotag] pitcher and current ESPN director [autotag]Kyle Brown[/autotag] passed away after suffering a medical emergency on Saturday.

Brown was working for ESPN at the NCAA baseball super regional in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was just 42. Brown had a wife and four children according to a release from ESPN.

It’s a sad day for Buckeye nation, when one of their own was taken far too early in life. Personally, Brown and I were teammates at Ohio State for two seasons and I have very fond memories of him.

He was a key member of the 2003 Ohio State team that went 44-21, won the Big Ten Tournament, swept the Auburn regional, and eventually lost in the super regionals to Southwest Missouri State.

You will be missed, Kyle. R.I.P.
