Georgia has signed another talented linebacker in four-star Kristopher Jones, out of Fairfax (Va.) High School.

Jones (6-foot-2, 220 pounds) is rated as the No. 11 linebacker, the No. 2 player in Virginia and the No. 134 player overall in the 2024 class, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Jones chose the Bulldogs over Florida and Michigan State.

The Bulldogs are no stranger to adding elite linebacker talent. Georgia has already signed five-star Justin Williams, the No. 1 player at the position in the 2024 cycle.

Four-star linebacker Kristopher Jones recently visited the University of Georgia for the South Carolina game. Jones, who committed to Georgia in July, has a torn ligament in his toe and needs surgery, which he is expected to have in two weeks, per DawgNation.

It is unclear when Jones will be able to return to the football field. Last week, Jones was able to play in the first half. He recorded three tackles and a rushing touchdown, but was unable to return in the second half.

The 6-foot-2, 220-pound linebacker plays high school football for Fairfax High School in Fairfax, Virginia. Jones is rated as the No. 9 linebacker, the No. 2 player in the state of Virginia and the No. 133 recruit in the 2024 recruiting cycle.

Jones is a key piece of Georgia’s No. 1 recruiting class. The Bulldogs have a stout group of linebacker commitments in the class of 2024 including one from five-star Justin Williams.

Jones is expected to enroll early at Georgia.

Jones, who is a member of the class of 2024, plays linebacker for Fairfax High School in Fairfax, Virginia. The 6-foot-2, 220-pound linebacker is the No. 133 recruit in the country and the No. 9 linebacker. Jones is the second-ranked recruit in Virginia.

On film, Jones does a good gob of disengaging from blocks. The elite linebacker is a great blitzer. The Fairfax standout displayed speed, acceleration and quickness during an interception return for a touchdown.

2024 four-star linebacker Kristopher Jones has committed to Georgia over Michigan State and Florida.

Jones (6-foot-2, 220 pounds) announced his decision live with Brooks Austin of Dawgs Daily on Sunday night.

The Fairfax, Virginia, native is rated as the No. 9 linebacker, the No. 2 player in the state of Virginia and the No. 133 recruit overall in the 2024 class.

Jones is the 26th pledge in Georgia’s class which sits atop the 247Sports recruiting rankings at No. 1 overall. Jones is Georgia’s second linebacker commitment in the class of 2024. The four-star joins five-star linebacker Justin Williams.

2024 four-star linebacker Kristopher Jones has announced his commitment date. Jones will choose among Georgia, Florida State and Michigan State on July 30 at 7 p.m. ET.

Jones (6-foot-2, 220 pounds), out of Fairfax, Va., is rated as the No. 9 linebacker, the No. 2 player in the state of Virginia and the No. 133 recruit overall in his class, per 247Sports Composite.

Jones is currently projected to sign with the Bulldogs by both 247Sports and On3 Sports’ expert predictions.

The Bulldogs No. 1 overall class took a hit on Wednesday when five-star linebacker Demarcus Riddick flipped his commitment to Auburn.

A pledge from Jones would add help add the depth lost due to Riddick’s decision. Georgia currently only has one linebacker commit in the 2024 class in five-star Justin Williams.

The four-star linebacker has five predictions to commit to Georgia football, per 247Sports. Jones’ other top contenders are Florida and Michigan State.

Jones is capable of disengaging from blocks and is a great blitzer. The Fairfax standout displayed speed, acceleration and quickness during an interception return for a touchdown last season.

The elite linebacker makes impact plays on special teams. Kirby Smart loves players that contribute as a special teams player. In 2021, Jones recorded 142 tackles, 26 tackles for a loss, 10 sacks and an interception.

Georgia is right where it wants to be in the recruitment of 4-star linebacker Kristopher Jones.

Jones, a member of the 2024 recruiting class, was in Athens over the weekend. It appears to have been a successful visit for both Jones and the Bulldogs.

Out of Fairfax, Virginia, Jones ranks as the nation’s No. 103 overall player and as the No. 10 ranked linebacker, per 247Sports. Despite the 247Sports crystal ball pointing in the direction of the Florida Gators, Jones told 247Sports that UGA is in his top-two. Next up for Jones is his final decision.

This was Jones’ second visit to UGA this summer. The 6-foot-2, 220-pound linebacker plans on announcing his commitment in late July or early August.

Jones recorded 142 tackles, 26 tackles for a loss, 10 sacks and 1 interception as a junior in 2022.

Michigan State will be welcoming one of the top linebackers in the 2024 class to its campus next week.

Four-star linebacker Kristopher Jones of Fairfax, Va. announced on Thursday that he will be taking an official visit to Michigan State from June 11 – 13. Jones ranks as one of the top linebackers in the country and is a big official visit addition for the Spartans.

Jones is listed as the No. 11 linebacker and No. 124 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2024 class. He’s also marked as the top player from Virginia.

Jones holds offers from more than 20 schools, including some of the biggest programs in the country. Florida and Georgia appear to be the other top contenders for his commitment, with official visits in place for both the Gators and Bulldogs in June. He’s also currently crystal balled to Florida on 247Sports.

Florida gets On3 RPM projection for blue-chip linebacker

An RPM pick plus a couple of crustal balls… this blue-chipper appears to be on his way to Gainesville.

Florida football is coming off a big weekend to open up the official visit season which has been cooking so far in Gainesville. Among the notable news coming out of the Swamp was On3’s Recruiting Prediciton Machine pick by Corey Bender for one particular 2024 prospect.

Four-star linebacker [autotag]Kristopher Jones[/autotag] out of Fairfax (Virginia) got the pick late Saturday night after Bender received news that Billy Napier and Co. were doing a superlative job hosting him and his family. Subsequently, a confidence level of 75% was assigned to the pick.

The 6-foot-2-inch, 220-pound defender has also been strongly considering the Georgia Bulldogs, but it appears that the Orange and Blue are on the verge of prevailing.

Jones is ranked No. 124 overall and No. 11 at his position nationally according to the 247Sports composite while the On3 industry ranking has him at Nos. 149 and 15, respectively. He currently has two crystal ball predictions for Florida from 247Sports, which also leads On3’s RPM projections with an 87% chance of landing him.
