Alabama CB Ga’Quincy ‘Kool-Aid’ McCkinstry lands NIL deal with Kool-Aid brand

A brand deal that was destined to happen has finally been made official!

Alabama true-freshman cornerback, Ga’Quincy McKinstry, has a unique nickname. He goes by ‘Kool-Aid,’ and everyone calls him that. Before you ask any questions: yes, that includes Coach Nick Saban.

On July 1, 2021, the NCAA announced that student-athletes will be able to benefit from their name, image and likeness.

It wasn’t long after the news broke when Crimson Tide fans called for a brand partnership to be developed between the Pinson Valley native and the popular drink brand.

Here we are, on Aug. 18, 2021, the date when Kool-Aid McKinstry and Kool-Aid brand made their relationship official.

Kool-Aid’s official Twitter accounted shared a few photos to publicize the partnership.

No details regarding the partnership have been released, nor have there been any public plans. Who knows what will become of this? Certainly a good deal for both Kool-Aid’s!

Here are the 5 freshmen you should be keeping a close eye on this fall!

August has finally arrived, which means the college football season is just around the corner.

Alabama will begin fall camp in just a few days and with each new season, opportunities are presented for some of those talented first-year players to make an early name for themselves.

With all that being said, I thought it would be a good time to compile a list of a handful of freshmen that I will be paying extra attention to in camp. These are guys who could have an impact almost immediately, in no particular order.

Alabama lands commitment from top-ranked, two-sport athlete Ga’Quincy McKinstry

Alabama basketball and football landed a huge target in five-star in-state dual athlete from pinson valle alabama Ga’Quincy McKinstry.

Alabama continues to roll over every other program in the nation on the recruiting trail, as the 2021 recruiting class got a little bit bigger, and a whole lot stronger.

The No. 1 player in the state of Alabama, cornerback Ga’Quincy ‘Kool-Aid’ McKinstry of Pinson Valley announced today that he will be committing to Alabama over numerous other top programs.

Five-star McKinstry is commit No. 22 for the 2021 class that includes five 5-stars, 12 4-stars and 3-stars. All together, they create the top class in the nation.

The cornerback chose Alabama over Auburn and LSU, which made his final three. McKinstry also held offers from Clemson, Miami, Georgia, Florida State and countless other top programs all across the country.

While he is one of the best at his craft when it comes to football, McKinstry is actually a two-sport athlete and also plans on playing basketball under Nate oats for the Crimson Tide.
