Michigan State football is one of seven schools still in the running for the top junior college cornerback in the country.

Three-star cornerback Keshawn Davila announced his top seven schools on Tuesday, and Michigan State cracked the list. The Spartans were joined by Florida, Iowa, Arkansas, Utah, Arizona State and Virginia Tech.

Davila ranks as the No. 1 junior college cornerback in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 12 overall junior college prospect in the class.

Michigan State is one of 50 programs to offer Davila, according to 247Sports. He took an official visit to Michigan State earlier this month.

One of the top JUCO players in 2025 has listed MSU in his top schools list

Michigan State football’s defensive backs coach Demetrice Martin is making a strong push for Northwest Mississippi Community College cornerback Keshawn Davila.

Davila came to MSU for an official visit for the Spartans victory over Iowa and the Spartans may have put themselves in pole position for one of the top players at the JUCO level.

Now, the JUCO product has released a top eight, and the Spartans were included alongside Utah, Virginia Tech, Boise State, Arizona State, SMU, Illinois and Washington State.

A key 2025 prospect will be on campus next weekend according to reports

Michigan State football is reportedly making a move on a defensive back in the 2025 recruiting class out of the junior college ranks.

Keshawn Davila got an offer from Michigan State just about a month ago, and now, according to a report from Rivals lead reporter Adam Gorney, the Spartans are hosting Davila on a visit for their game against Iowa.

Davila is ranked as the No. 14 JUCO prospect by Rivals and the No. 15 JUCO prospect by 247Sports. He is a 6’1″ 180 pound defensive back from Tampa, Florida, playing at Northwest Mississippi Community College.

Holding 40 offers, Davila has notable offers from Boise State, Illinois, SMU, UCF, USF and Washington State.

Michigan State football has gotten off to a very solid start in its 2025 recruiting class but there is still much work to do to finish the class this fall. With a handful of spots left, the Spartans are able to be selective with who they pursue this fall.

The Spartans have one prospect they want to pursue: Keshawn Davila.

Davila is a 6-foot-1, 165 pound cornerback who attends Northwest Mississippi Community College. He also holds offers from Boise State, Memphis, UCF and Washington State.
