The No. 20 Kentucky Wildcats (5-0, 2-0 SEC) square off against the top-ranked Georgia Bulldogs (5-0, 2-0) in Athens Saturday. Kickoff from Sanford Stadium is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET (ESPN). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Kentucky vs. Georgia odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Kentucky beat Florida 33-14 as a 1-point home favorite last week. While QB Devin Leary went just 9 of 19 for only 69 yards and a touchdown, it was RB Ray Davis who propelled the offense. Davis had 26 carries for 280 yards and 3 TDs alongside 1 reception for an additional TD through the air. The Wildcats will need Davis to perform again Saturday if they want to knock off the Bulldogs.

Georgia escaped upset last week with a narrow 27-20 victory over Auburn while failing to cover as a 14-point road favorite. TE Brock Bowers hauled in the game-winning TD with just under 3 minutes remaining. Bowers carried the Bulldogs on offense with 8 receptions for 157 yards and a TD while RB Daijun Edwards had 19 carries for 76 yards and 2 TDs.

Kentucky at Georgia picks and predictions

Prediction

Georgia 31, Kentucky 20

Moneyline

PASS.

As the top-ranked team in the nation, Georgia (-600) is rightfully a heavy favorite in this matchup. However, there’s no value to be made betting on a -600 favorite.

Against the spread

LEAN KENTUCKY +14.5 (-110).

Kentucky demonstrated its offensive capabilities last week, especially with Davis constantly showing his shiftiness on a career day. Georgia will plan to stop the run, which will open up the offense for more play-action and pass plays.

Even with the Bulldogs’ pressure, Davis should be able to find the end zone – the Bulldogs have let up an average of 113.4 rushing yards per game this season.

Over/Under

BET OVER 47.5 (-110).

Three of Georgia’s 5 games have gone Over 47.5 points this season, while Kentucky games have gone Over this number twice. Both teams are offense-oriented and have weapons that are more than capable of scoring.

Expect a lot of points in this matchup.

Kentucky at Georgia odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s Kentucky Wildcats at Georgia Bulldogs odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The No. 11 Kentucky Wildcats (6-0, 4-0 SEC) travel to meet the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs (6-0, 4-0) Saturday at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Kentucky vs. Georgia odds and lines, and make our expert college football picks, predictions and bets.

The Wildcats doubled up LSU 42-21 as 2-point home favorites Oct. 9, setting up this titanic battle in the SEC East. Kentucky, which won its first three games in the division, would have the inside track for the SEC Championship Game if it can pull the upset Saturday.

The Bulldogs ascended to the top spot in the rankings when Alabama went down at Texas A&M Oct. 9. UGA has been dominant, going 5-1 ATS, while allowing a total of just 33 points across six outings. The Dawgs are No. 1 in total yards allowed (203.5), passing yards allowed (137.0) and points per game (5.5).

Kentucky at Georgia odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Georgia 26, Kentucky 10

Money line

Georgia (-2500) will cost you 25 times your potential return, which would be good for just a $4 profit for every $100 wagered. That’s too expensive in a battle of top-tier teams.

AVOID and look to the spread instead.

Against the spread

KENTUCKY +21.5 (-110) is a tremendous play, as it should be able to keep it within three touchdowns in this SEC East showdown. While Georgia has used a suffocating defense to mash its way to the top, don’t underestimate the ability of Kentucky’s defense. It has allowed just 17.5 points per game and should be able to keep Georgia’s offense in line.

Over/Under

UNDER 44.5 (-115) is a low line in this day and age of college football, but Georgia and Kentucky each play a brand of defense reminiscent of a bygone era. The Wildcats are a run-first offense, rolling up 214.2 yards per game on the ground to rank 24th. Running teams run clock, which Under bettors love.

The Under is 21-9 in the past 30 SEC games for Kentucky, while going 5-1 in the past six on the road. The Bulldogs have cashed the Under in six of the previous eight games played in the month of October.
