Michigan State football gets commitment from Hawaiian edge Kekai Burnett

MSU lands Hawaiian edge rusher Kekai Burnett:

Michigan State got their first defensive line commit of the 2024 recruiting class, picking up Honolulu (HI) edge rusher Kekai Burnett. Burnett was previously committed to Oregon State and took an official visit to BYU this December.

Burnett is a 6’3”, 235 pound edge rusher that is rated as a high 3-star (88 rating) by 247Sports.

Burnett joins Andrew Brinson, Austin Clay, Justin Denson, Carter Enyard (PWO), Makhi Frazier, Wyatt Hook, Rakeem Johnson, Charlton Luniewski, Mercer Luniewski, Nick Marsh, Alessio Milivojevic, Payton Stewart, Jaylen Thompson, Brand Tullis, Jadyn Walker and Keshawn Williams as members of the Spartans 2024 recruiting class.

Michigan State will reportedly be hosting a former Oregon State commit in a few weeks.

Three-star defensive end Kekai Burnett will reportedly take an official visit to Michigan State on Dec. 15. Burnett is from Honolulu, Hawaii and was previously committed to Oregon State.

Burnett ranks as the No. 42 edge rusher and No. 4 player from Hawaii in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2024 class.

Burnett will also take an official visit to BYU in the coming weeks. He holds offers from numerous schools, including Michigan State, BYU, Cal, Oregon, Oregon State, Washington State, Arizona, Arizona State and Stanford.

Michigan State offers Oregon State commit and Hawaii native defensive lineman

Michigan State has extended an offer to another commit in Oregon State’s 2024 recruiting class, this time offering Kekai Burnett, a native of Honolulu, Hawaii.

Burnett is a 6-foot-3, 245 pound defensive lineman, most likely an edge rusher. He is rated as an 88 and a 3-star prospect, according to 247Sports. He decommitted from Oregon State shortly after receiving the offer.

Burnett holds additional power conference offers from Arizona, Arizona State, BYU, Cal, Oregon, Stanford and Washington State.
