Taylor Swift gets shade thrown at her by Ryleigh Spector, wife of Bills player

Shade!

Taylor Swift wasn’t even at the Kansas City Chiefs’ first loss of the season to the Buffalo Bills, but she’s gotten drawn into it thanks to the wife of a Bills player.

Ryleigh Spector, who is married to linebacker Baylon Spector, posted a photo from the win and wrote “9-2! Never a Swiftie” on an Instagram Story post.

Now, this is where I beg you: please don’t go after Spector for posting that. Trash talk is trash talk, and a little banter never hurt anyone (just ask Travis Kelce, who clapped to Bills fans after the loss).

But here you go:

Bills snap counts: Depth chart breakdown vs. Chiefs

Bills snap counts: Depth chart breakdown vs. Chiefs

The Buffalo Bills got after it against the Kansas City Chiefs and ended up winning, 30-21, on Sunday during the NFL’s Week 11 slate.

But who exactly were the ones on the field for the Bills (9-2) doing all the dirty against the Chiefs?

More often than not, taking a look in between the lines at snap count totals for Buffalo’s players can give us some insight as to what went down in between the lines on the gridiron.

There will always be plenty to discover when looking at these finer details.

With that, here’s how the Bills depth chart broke down via snap counts in their win against the Chiefs:

Josh Allen, Bills locker room react to game-winning TD vs. Chiefs: ‘He’s the GOAT’

Josh Allen, Bills locker room react to game-winning TD vs. Chiefs: ‘He’s the GOAT’

Josh Allen got everyone out of their seats with his game-winning touchdown against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Teammates included.

In Week 11, the Bills (8-2) secured a massive win over the Chiefs (9-1) and Allen’s late score iced it. The QB scampered 26 yards down the field on fourth down to put the contest out of reach.

Allen was plenty happy about it himself… but the ones lining up next to him were even more so.

“He’s the G.O.A.T.,” linebacker Dorian Williams said.

“We’re fortunate to have him,” cornerback Taron Johnson added.

A roundup of reactions to Allen’s big play from insider the Bills locker room can be found below:

The Buffalo Bills were understandably in a great mood following their latest win.

The Bills (9-2) took an important win over the Kansas City Chiefs (9-1) in Week 11. After the final whistle went at Highmark Stadium on Sunday, plenty of celebrations ensued.

Players showed their appreciation for Bills Mafia in the crowd cheering and were happy for the cameras.

The pregame NFL roundtable on CBS Sports did not wait until kickoff to have some fun on Sunday.

The “Game of the Week” in the NFL’s Week 11 slate was clearly the Buffalo Bills hosting the Kansas City Chiefs. In the end, the contest delivered, and the home team ended up with the 30-21 win.

However, prior to kickoff, the coverage team got out the tables. Just about all of them.

The crew, which includes noted former NFL names such as Nate Burleson, Bill Cowher, and more… and jump through tables while broadcasting alongside Bills Mafia in the parking lot around Highmark Stadium.

Report: Chiefs signing Patriots former second-round draft pick WR

A former Patriots receiver is joining Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs are reportedly signing former New England Patriots starting wide receiver Tyquan Thornton to their practice squad, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Thornton was waived by the Patriots on Saturday after struggling to stay on the field for three seasons. The former Baylor standout is perceived as a second-round draft bust with only 39 receptions for 385 yards and two touchdowns in well over two years with the team.

His blistering speed at receiver was likely the main trait that piqued the Chiefs’ interest. They love to load up on offense with explosive playmakers who can catch passes and make plays happen on the field.

However, Thornton was far from a YAC-king for the Patriots.

Perhaps things will be different for Thornton in Kansas City.

What better situation could he ask to be in than catching passes from three-time Super Bowl champion quarterback Patriots Mahomes and Chiefs coach Andy Reid, who is arguably the greatest play-caller in NFL history?

Broncos released frustrations from Chiefs game on Falcons

Being the next team on the Broncos’ schedule after the Chiefs loss was very bad news for the Falcons.

After suffering a heartbreaking 16-14 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs last week following a blocked field goal, the Denver Broncos were motivated to bounce back in a big way in Week 11.

Unfortunately for the Atlanta Falcons, they were next on Denver’s schedule following the game in Kansas City.

The Broncos dominated the Falcons in a 38-6 victory on Sunday.

“That’s a thing that I was really most proud of and excited about was obviously the response coming off of a tough loss,” Denver coach Sean Payton said after the game.

It appeared that Broncos players stored up their emotions from the Chiefs loss and unleashed their frustrations against the Falcons.

“I think it started early in the week,” Payton said. “It still gets back to the players and the make-up. It gets back to the things we keep talking about: the grit, the toughness. This is a team that [is] different from a year ago and kind of has that. Their response was really good.”

Denver left tackle Garett Bolles said the team was “relentless” on Sunday.

“The more time we spend together, we’re just a tight-knit group of dudes,” Bolles said. “That’s what happens to teams with a tight group of dudes, we put points on the board, and we win games like that.”

Denver’s offense scored a season-high five touchdowns against Atlanta. The defense also dominated, holding the Falcons to just two field goals.

“It’s great because we’ve been talking about having our first complete football game,” wide receiver Troy Franklin said after the win. “A full four quarters where everybody’s playing, giving effort and executing. I think we did that today.”

Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix said the team was eager to bounce back after last week’s last-second loss at Arrowhead.

“It kind of felt like last week at the end of the game we could have lined the ball up and played another four-quarter game against another team,” Nix said. “We just wanted to go right back into the fire. It is hard when you lose a game like that. You feel like that one was stolen from us, but I want to get right back on the field. I want to go out there and play again. That is kind of how we felt this week.

“We had a great week of practice. The preparation was phenomenal. Offense, defense, special teams, we prepared like crazy. We fixed our mistakes that we wanted to fix. We came out and played with great effort, great intensity and great love for the guys around you. You can just see our sidelines and see everybody on the field. When another guy has success, you can see all the fun and enjoyment we get out of it.”

Following the big win, Denver is now 6-5 and currently on pace to make the NFL playoffs. Up next is a road game against the Las Vegas Raiders (2-8) in Week 12.

Bills’ Terrel Bernard breaks down matchup vs. Chiefs’ Travis Kelce

Bills’ Terrel Bernard breaks down matchup vs. Chiefs’ Travis Kelce

The Bills beat the Chiefs 30-21 at home on Sunday.

The contest that saw the teams’ final scores roughly on average for the season so far also had significant takeaways on and off the field.

But the biggest one belonged to Buffalo linebacker, Terrel Bernard.

With 1:07 left to play in the fourth quarter, the Bills’ defensive captain and play caller took away a Patrick Mahomes pass intended for Kansas City tight end and MGMT “Electric Feel” fan Travis Kelce for an end-game interception.

The entire Buffalo defense ran down to celebrate with him in the end zone after getting in front of Kelce to grab the ball out of the air.

“The main thing is just having awareness of him, “ Bernard said about covering the Chiefs TE to WIVB. “Pre, post-snap, trying to get guys around him as much as possible, playing within our scheme and our system still but understanding he’s going to be one of the first options every pass play.”

It was the second interception for KC’s Mahomes, whose first and last throws in Sunday’s game were caught by Buffalo.

Bernard, who was out during the last meeting between the clubs in January’s divisional round of the playoffs, also had eight tackles and a sack on the day to go with the big-time turnover.

“I think having that awareness, [defensive coordinator] Bobby [Babich] did a great job in the gameplan, all the coaches did, putting him in our minds all week and knowing where he was at and where he was going to be, what he likes to do in certain spots. I think that was a huge factor, and everybody playing to the details of the defense.”

Everything has changed for Kelce since his last matchups against the Bills in which he seemed unstoppable.

He may just want to shake it off, knowing all too well that Bernard and the Bills defense held him to only two catches for eight yards receiving.

But with the win the Bills now have a better shot at a No. 1 seed and a first-round bye, the Chiefs do as well although they are not out of the woods yet.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid was complimentary of the Bills when asked what his takeaways off the field were from the loss.

“Things you can learn, the main thing is that they’re a good team and, if you have a few mistakes in there, they can capitalize on them,” Reid said.

The teams could face off again in the postseason, and time will tell which club will play host to the other if they do.

Panthers WR Adam Thielen could return in Week 12 vs. Chiefs

The Panthers are hoping to get WR Adam Thielen back on the field this weekend.

The Carolina Panthers are going to need all the help they can get this Sunday. And luckily for them, they may be getting back their leading receiver from a year ago.

Wideout Adam Thielen could be in line to make his return in Week 12, when the Panthers host the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs. That prospect was brought up this afternoon by head coach Dave Canales, who also said he expects rookie running back Jonathon Brooks to make his NFL debut this weekend.

“I fully expect JB to make his debut this week against the Chiefs,” Canales told reporters after Monday’s practice. “Again, we have some practices to go through to make sure that we’re ready to go there. Same thing with [Adam] Thielen. Just get ’em out there. They were running around today. We’ll have a couple of practices to make that decision. But my hope is to have both of those guys out there on Sunday.”

Thielen has missed the last seven games due to a hamstring injury, one he sustained while reeling in a 31-yard touchdown pass in the team’s Week 3 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

Panthers ‘fully expect’ RB Jonathon Brooks to make NFL debut in Week 12

Panthers HC Dave Canales told reporters that he expects rookie RB Jonathon Brooks to make his NFL debut in Week 12 vs. the Chiefs.

Get ready for the NFL debut of Carolina Panthers running back Jonathon Brooks.

The team’s second-round pick has yet to hit the professional gridiron due to an ACL tear he sustained last November. But the wait, according to head coach Dave Canales, may finally be over for the 21-year-old rusher.

“I fully expect JB to make his debut this week against the Chiefs,” Canales told reporters after this morning’s practice. “Again, we have some practices to go through to make sure that we’re ready to go there. Same thing with [Adam] Thielen. Just get ’em out there. They were running around today. We’ll have a couple of practices to make that decision. But my hope is to have both of those guys out there on Sunday.”

Carolina traded up to grab Brooks with the 46th overall selection of the 2024 draft. But Brooks, who was initially expected to be ready for training camp, remained sidelined throughout the offseason and began the regular season on the physically unable to perform/non-football injury list.

The Panthers officially activated Brooks to the 53-man roster ahead of their Week 10 win over the New York Giants.
