Browns bench Jameis Winston after another multi-interception game

Dorian Thompson-Robinson has entered the game

The fun is over for Cleveland Browns quarterback Jameis Winston as he has been benched in favor of Dorian Thompson-Robinson against the Kansas City Chiefs.

For the fourth time in his seven starts, Winston has thrown multiple interceptions with three in this game against the Chiefs. His last one was an egregious throw into double coverage in the endzone down the field. He sits with just 146 yards and three interceptions in the fourth quarter of this Week 15 matchup.

Thompson-Robinson came into the game against the Cincinnati Bengals when Deshaun Watson went down with a ruptured Achilles. He has seen sparing action since in run-heavy packages.

With three weeks left in the season against the Bengals, Miami Dolphins, and Baltimore Ravens, we very well may see Thompson-Robinson start the rest of the way out so the Browns can evaluate what they have in their backup quarterback with two seasons left on his rookie contract.

Better late than never: Jerome Ford finds the endzone on 62-yard rush

The Browns get on the board in the third quarter as Jerome Ford breaks a long run to the endzone

The Cleveland Browns are not waving the white flag against the Kansas City Chiefs as running back Jerome Ford broke an explosive run to get them on the board.

With just over three minutes left in the third quarter, Ford broke free for a 62-yard touchdown run to put Cleveland on the board in Week 15. Recently elevated kicker Riley Patterson converted the extra point, cutting the Chiefs’ lead to 21-7.

The Browns have totaled 174 yards of offense but find themselves trailing due to four turnovers. Quarterback Jameis Winston has completed 11 of 18 passes for 96 yards but has thrown two interceptions and lost a fumble. Additionally, punt returner James Proche lost a fumble that directly led to Kansas City points.

Despite the struggles, Jerry Jeudy continues to be a bright spot in an otherwise difficult season. He’s caught seven of eight targets for a game-high 81 yards, surpassing 1,000 receiving yards in a season for the first time in his career. On the ground, Ford has carried five times for 68 yards and a touchdown, while Nick Chubb has added nine carries for 41 yards.

Jerry Jeudy eclipses career milestone in first season with the Browns

Jerry Jeudy has reached 1,000 yards for the first time in his career and in his first season with the Browns

In his first season with the Cleveland Browns, wide receiver Jerry Jeudy has eclipsed 1,000 yards for the first time in his young career.

Just 25 years old, the Browns traded two Day 3 NFL draft picks for him to the Denver Broncos. They then reached out and extended him early and ahead of schedule. That looks like a rare excellent decision for the Browns as they likely saved themselves millions per year on his new deal.

After hitting the 1,000-yard mark, Jeudy sits with seven catches and 81 yards in the second half of the Week 15 game against the 12-1 Kansas City Chiefs. Since the trade of Amari Cooper, the Browns have gotten the most out of the former first round pick, and he has stepped up to the plate.

On the season, Jeudy now sits with 1,025 yards receiving on 66 catches.

Can he continue his career year and play himself into his first career Pro Bowl as well as he sits in the upper echelon of receiving yards through 14 games? He certainly still has much to play for despite an abysmal Browns season.

Congratulations, Jerry!

Sorry Swifties!: Taylor Swift not present in Travis Kelce’s hometown

In the hometown of her partner, Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift is not present at the Browns vs Chiefs game in Cleveland

As the Cleveland Browns take on the Kansas City Chiefs, there is one important person not in attendance: international icon Taylor Swift.

In the hometown of her well-known boyfriend, Travis Kelce, Swift did not make the trip to Northeast Ohio for this Week 15 battle out in the Cleveland cold. It is one of the rare games where the pop star is not in attendance.

Just ending a nearly two-year tour just last week, it is quite understandable that Swift may need some time to herself. Besides, it’s not like she’s never been around Kelce’s hometown in the time they’ve been together!

Back to football, the Browns look to pull the upset over the 12-1 Chiefs despite just a three-win season. Can the Browns pull it off in this Week 15 battle?

We are less than six hours from kickoff between the Kansas City Chiefs (12-1) and the Cleveland Browns (3-10) in Week 15.

The Browns come into this matchup off of a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers where the offense struggled to get anything going. That does not get easier against the Steve Spagnuolo-led Chiefs defense. Can quarterback Jameis Winston get back to his gunslinger ways and lead the Browns to an upset?
