2025 4-star TE Kaleb Edwards announces commitment to Alabama

2025 four-star tight end Kaleb Edwards announced his commitment to Alabama on Tuesday. Edwards chose the Crimson Tide over Auburn, Oregon, and Texas.

The Alabama Crimson Tide football program has been trending in the right direction on the recruiting trail for quite a while. On Tuesday, Alabama added even more talent to its 2025 recruiting class. Four-star tight end Kaleb Edwards committed to Alabama over other programs like Auburn, Oregon, and Texas.

Edwards received an offer from Alabama on April 14. He took an official visit to Alabama from June 17-19. The California native also took official visits to UCLA, Texas, Auburn, and Oregon.

During his junior season, Edwards reeled in 44 receptions for 828 yards and seven touchdowns. The 6-foot-6 pass-catcher has proven to be an effective receiving threat and a good blocker at Oak Ridge High School.

In all likelihood, Edwards will be the lone tight end signee in Alabama’s ’25 recruiting class. In the ’24 recruiting class, Alabama signed two tight ends — Caleb Odom and Jay Lindsey.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow the latest regarding the Alabama football program and its efforts on the recruiting trail.

Alabama football has momentum for four-star TE Kaleb Edwards

Alabama now the favorite for an elite TE prospect!

As June closes, Kalen DeBoer and the Alabama Crimson Tide football coaching staff have put together an incredible month of recruiting. Over the past few weeks, Alabama has surged to the No. 2 ranked recruiting class for 2025 and still has plenty of its top targets uncommitted.

One of the most coveted targets is a four-star tight end from El Dorado Hills, California, Kaleb Edwards.

Edwards is a 6-foot-6 235 prospect who has shown the ability to be a solid end-line blocker but also a legitimate threat in the passing game.

Steve Wiltfong of On3 recently logged an expert prediction for the talented Edwards to commit to the Crimson Tide.

Edwards is scheduled to announce his decision on Tuesday, July 2.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to monitor the recruitment of Edwards and will provide updates as they become available.

Irish Trending for Georgia Prospect who has set Commitment Date

A Georgia athlete has set his commitment date and it looks like the Notre Dame could be adding onto their 2021 recruiting class.

Back on the first of this month, Georgia star safety Kaleb Edwards named his Top 10 schools, Notre Dame included. Fast forward to today and the 6’0” and 190-pound Edwards is closing in on picking a school as he will announce a commitment on the first of July.

The Irish already have three commits in the secondary, cornerback’s Philip Riley and Ryan Barnes and safety Justin Walters. Although Edwards just received his Irish offer in the middle of May, Brian Kelly has impressed the defender enough to be in contention for his commitment.

Looking at what the experts predict to happen is very interesting. Over at 247Sports there have been four crystal balls put in for Edwards, all of their experts have Notre Dame as the choice. Looking at Rival’s futurecast there was one expert who has made a prediction and it’s for the good guys in Blue and Gold.

If the experts are correct the you can expect to see Edwards commit to the Irish in a little less than two weeks. Here’s to hoping they’re right and the Irish can add a talented athlete to their 2021 recruiting class.

Recruiting: Irish in Georgia Star’s Top 10

Notre Dame recently offered a scholarship to a Georgian safety and have made it into his Top 10 schools going forward.

Although Georgia’s Kaleb Edwards was offered by Brian Kelly and Clark Lea just over two weeks ago, the safety likes what he sees from the Irish and included them in his newly released Top 10 schools.

Edwards is still keeping his options open, as he noted in his tweet, but making his top school list shortly after getting an Irish offer is a good sign going forward. The 6’0” and 195-pound defender does a bit of everything for his Dacula High School team, showing a variety of skills that have plenty of coaches excited for his future on the field.

The Irish have done a good job recruiting Edwards and are in the mix for a commitment from the safety. The 2021 recruiting class has Illinois’ Justin Walters as the other safety commit, and if Kelly is able to convince Edwards to join, they would make a great pair of prospects to arrive in South Bend next year.

Michigan State Football makes top ten for 3-star safety Kaleb Edwards

MSU Football has landed in the top ten for the recruitment of Dacula, Georgia’s Kaleb Edwards.

Michigan State has managed to cast a wide net in football recruiting over the offseason despite some difficult circumstances, consistently dipping into the south to compete against major programs for top talents. The latest evidence of these efforts came on Monday when 2021 3-star safety Kaleb Edwards announced that MSU was in his current top ten for recruiting.

Edwards is the No. 46 ranked player in the state of Georgia according to 247Sports‘ composite rankings and the No. 43 ranked safety in the 2021 class. Edwards currently plays for Dacula High School.

Michigan State joins fellow Big Ten squads Iowa and Indiana in Edwards’ top ten. 247Sports currently has him projected to head to Notre Dame.

For those wondering about his height, he is 6’0″.

Irish Offer Two Class of 2021 Prospects On Sunday

Notre Dame was busy this weekend and it continued on Sunday with two offers out to prospects in the 2021 class.

The Notre Dame staff took Saturday “off” this weekend, offers went out on Friday night and then again yesterday. Two new verbal offers went to the 2021 class, which currently has 10 commitments and ranked as the 10th overall class by the 247Sports composite.

The first reported offer went out to Tennessee linebacker Prince Kollie. The Irish joined Georgia, Oklahoma, Auburn and others in offering the 6’2” and 200-pound athlete.

Although he is listed as a linebacker, Kollie could end up playing a variety of positions such, running back and safety along with linebackers. The talented athlete does a variety of things for his high school team, rushing from the edge, lining up as a hybrid safety, taking passes the distance as a wide receiver as well. Kollie is the type of athlete you want on your team and can figure out what to do with later when his body matures.

The second offer on Sunday went out to Georgia’s 6’0” and 195-pounds safety Kaleb Edwards. He holds offers from Stanford and Northwestern, which means that Edwards fit the academic profile the Irish are looking for.

Not only is he a standout in the classroom but on the field as well. Edwards bring a physical attitude to the secondary but has good enough hands to take passes the other way. His willingness to come into the box and make plays is impressive, something you love seeing from downhill safeties.

The Irish do not have any of their 10 verbals at the linebacker position, a need that Kollie could fill. In the secondary, corner Philip Riley and safety Justin Walters are in the bank, and Edwards would be a welcome addition to the group. Brian Kelly and his staff are still working hard at the 2021 cycle and both Kollie and Edwards are names to watch going forward.
