WATCH: K.J. Osborn diving TD breathes life into Minnesota

Osborn unleashed his inner Reggie Bush and scored a needed touchdown for the Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings are still alive late in the third quarter of their shootout against the Los Angeles Chargers.

K.J. Osborn beats cornerback Michael Davis on a deep crosser on an aggressive fourth-and-five call near midfield for the Vikings.

Not to be outdone by Brandon Staley’s aggressiveness to end the half, Kevin O’Connell was faced with a fourth-and-five for Minnesota on a drive that was up-and-down for Kirk Cousins and the Vikings offense.

Cousins found Osborn on a deep crosser as he beat Davis to the inside and made an incredible leap from five yards out to solidify the touchdown pass after breaking off a would-be tackle from Asante Samuel, Jr.

The touchdown grab makes this a 21-17 game and gives new life to a Minnesota offense that was looking for a spark as they look to fight back in this physical game.

WATCH K.J. Osborn make a sideline grab in the red zone

K.J. Osborn continued to make plays during training camp, hauling in an impressive sideline catch from quarterback Kirk Cousins.

The Minnesota Vikings have reached the third day of the training camp, and through the first two days, there have been plenty of impressive plays by the wide receivers.

Veterans K.J. Osborn and Jalen Reagor made impressive grabs that made their way onto the team’s official social media account. It also didn’t take rookie wide receiver Jordan Addison long to make plays, as he hauled in a diving catch to open camp.

On Friday, Osborn found his way back onto the team’s Twitter after he made an impressive catch on the sideline and kept both feet in bounds.

After finishing with 650 receiving yards in 2022, Osborn is looking to continue the productive start to his young career and should see an uptick in snaps following the departure of Adam Thielen.

Osborn is also entering the final year of his rookie contract and will hit free agency next off-season. A strong season could help Osborn, 26, see a big payday next summer.

WATCH K.J. Osborn make downfield catch in triple coverage

The first day of Minnesota Vikings training camp saw multiple great catches, this one from K.J. Osborn.

The first day of training camp practice is wrapped up for the Minnesota Vikings. This milestone is a key signifier that the 2023 football season is right around the corner.

In Minnesota, some questions surround the offense and their production due to the loss of long-time running back Dalvin Cook.

However, one way to qualm this doubt is to make early statements in training camp through the air. One amazing catch by newcomer Jordan Addison showed why he was the Biletnikoff Award winner at the University of Pittsburgh.

Not to be outdone, third-year receiver K.J. Osborn bolted up the seam and found a sliver of daylight between three Minnesota defenders. As you can see from the below clip, Kirk Cousins does the rest.

With the questions surrounding the offense after the departure of Cook, seeing Addison and Osborn play at a high level is key. Justin Jefferson will be receiving a lot of attention after the season that he had in 2022. Someone will have to step up when the double teams come. Seeing early success from the number two and three options should give Minnesota fans a reason to take a sigh of relief.
