Eagles place former Georgia star Jordan Davis on IR

Former UGA star Jordan Davis is out with an ankle injury.

The Philadelphia Eagles have placed former Georgia Bulldogs star Jordan Davis on injured reserve. Davis is dealing with a high ankle sprain. The Eagles selected Davis in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft.

Davis has 14 tackles for the Eagles, who are undefeated. This season, Davis has been a critical piece in Philadelphia’s run defense.

Jordan Davis will miss at least the next four games for Philadelphia. Davis is a fan favorite and will be missed over the next four weeks as the Eagles (7-0) face the Texans, Commanders, Colts, and Packers.

Davis’ injury will force the Eagles to play Fletcher Cox and Javon Hargrave more snaps. Philadelphia currently allows 114.7 rushing yards per game. It will be interesting to see if that number increases significantly following Jordan Davis’ injury.
