4-star WR Jeremiah McClellan puts Ducks among top teams

The Ducks are in the mix for 4-star WR Jeremiah McClellan, who was in Eugene for a visit earlier this year.

The Oregon Ducks are in the mix with one of the better wide receiver prospects in the 2024 class, landing among the top 12 schools for 4-star WR Jeremiah McClellan.

McClellan, the No. 142 player in the 2024 class and No. 24 WR, announced his top 12 schools on Monday, keeping the Ducks in the mix with teams like Ohio State, Georgia, LSU, Tennessee, Michigan, and Oklahoma, among others.

McClellan took a visit to Eugene earlier this year and reportedly enjoyed his time. We will see if Oregon can figure out a way to stay in the mix down the road, but having one of the projected top recievers in the nation this year, Troy Franklin, will be a major selling point.

Jeremiah McClellan’s Recruiting Profile

LSU offers speedy top-200 receiver from St. Louis

In addition to his jets, Jeremiah McClellan is a reliable blocker for St. Louis (Mo.) Christian Brothers.

[autotag]Jeremiah McClellan[/autotag] is a 6-foot-1, 185-pound, four-star wide receiver from the class of 2024. He is from Saint Louis, Missouri, where he plays for Christian Brothers College School. The Christian Brothers Cadets finished the 2022 season 13-1 with an overtime win over Lee’s Summit North in the Missouri 6A state championship game.

There are currently no Crystal Ball projections for McClellan, and there is no clear favorite to land him per on3.

Film Analysis: McClellan is a speedster on the edge so the Cadets do everything they can to get him the ball in open space. He is also a very talented blocker in the run game.

Every wide receiver offered by the Oklahoma Sooners in the 2024 recruiting cycle

Who are the Oklahoma Sooners targeting at wide receiver in the 2024 recruiting cycle?

The wide receiver position at Oklahoma has provided some fantastic production over the years. Big-name players like Sterling Shepard, CeeDee Lamb, and Marquise Brown are still having success at the NFL level.

Marvin Mims is the latest player to breakout, recording the first 1,000-yard season of his career in 2022. Jalil Farooq didn’t have as big a season as Mims, but he became an integral part of the offense in both the pass and run games.

In the 2022 recruiting cycle, the Oklahoma Sooners signed two four-star talents like the towering Jayden Gibson and Nic Anderson. In 2023, Oklahoma added four-star prospects Jaquaize Pettaway and Keyon Brown to the wide receiver depth chart.

The Oklahoma Sooners will look to build off of the depth they’ve already created by adding to the talent in the 2024 recruiting class. They’ve already received predictions to land four-star speedster Mario Craver out of Alabama.

Though we’re still a long way from the 2024 early signing period, here are the wide receivers they’ve targeted thus far in the cycle.

Oklahoma hosting several prospects this weekend for Kent State

After their first win of the season, Oklahoma will take on UTEP with some essential visitors in attendance.

After Oklahoma’s blazing summer on the recruiting trail, they kept that momentum rolling with a win to kick off the Brent Venables era in Norman. Recruiting is ever-changing and constantly shifting, so teams must remain in the process of recruiting players despite their verbal commitments.

Commits like Heath Ozaeta and Cayden Green will be in attendance Saturday evening, and the Sooners are still trying to land four-star defensive lineman Jordan Renaud.

Renaud is a player that has been trending to the Sooners for several months now.

Oklahoma carried a top-five recruiting class into the start of the season, per 247Sports. They currently sit fifth in 247’s overall and composite rankings. With the season in full swing, future prospects will visit during game weeks to understand what it means to be an Oklahoma Sooner on gameday.

We’ve taken the liberty of rounding up confirmations from multiple recruits and commits who plan to be in the Palace on Saturday night as the Sooners take on Kent State.

We’ll continue to update the list as we learn more.
