Michigan football trending for 4-star in-state linebacker

Would be a massive get for #Michigan. Especially over a rival! #GoBlue

Michigan football is dominating the 2024 recruiting trail. The Wolverines currently have 14 commitments in the class and they are ranked first in the country according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

While having 14 commitments, the Wolverines are landing prospects from all over the country. In fact, Michigan only has two commitments in the state of Michigan currently.

But that may be changing.

If you go back to August or September of last year, it looked like Michigan would lose out to Michigan State to land four-star linebacker Jeremiah Beasley. Dating back to September there were a couple of Crystal Ball’s put in for the Spartans to land Beasley.

During the past few days things appear to be changing in favor of Michigan. On Tuesday Steve Wiltfong, a National Recruiting Analyst, placed a Crystal Ball on Michigan to land Beasley and a Michigan State insider also place a Crystal Ball in favor of the Wolverines to land the linebacker.

If Beasley were to commit to Michigan over the Spartans then the Wolverines would have three of the top six players from the state of Michigan in 2024.

According to the Composite rankings, Beasley is a four-star linebacker and is the 268th-ranked player in the country. He is the 25th-ranked linebacker, and the sixth-ranked player in the state.

The Wolverines have two linebacker prospects committed in the class as of now. Four-star linebacker Mason Curtis and three-star Zach Ludwig.

MSU target, 4-star LB Jeremiah Beasley pushes back commitment date to June

MSU will have to wait a little bit longer before they find out if they’ll be adding a big-time linebacker prospect to their 2024 class

Michigan State fans will have to wait a little bit longer before they find out if they’ll be adding a big-time linebacker prospect to their 2024 class.

Four-star linebacker Jeremiah Beasley announced on Wednesday that he’ll be pushing his commitment date to June 29. Beasley had originally planned to announce his college decision on March 15.

Beasley ranks as the No. 13 linebacker and No. 157 overall prospect in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2024 class. He’s also listed as the No. 4 player in the state of Michigan.

Beasley holds scholarship offers from more than 20 programs, according to 247Sports. Some of the bigger named programs that have offered Beasley includes Michigan State, Michigan, Kentucky, Colorado, Nebraska, Penn State and Tennessee.

247Sports currently projects Beasley to end up at Michigan State in their crystal ball predictions. However, delaying his commitment could mean his recruitment has taken a new turn. Beasley will be a prospect that fans should keep an eye on throughout the recruiting process.

Wisconsin offers four-star safety from Michigan

The Badgers offered Jeremiah Beasley, a Michigan native and four-star safety from the class of 2024 on Friday.

The Badgers offered Jeremiah Beasley, a four-star safety from the class of 2024 on Friday. The junior from Belleville, Michigan still has one more year of high school football before he’ll potentially make the jump to the collegiate level.

Beasley has now received 19 Division 1 offers, including six from programs within the Big Ten. Based on 247Sports’ Crystal Ball, Michigan State is the early favorite to land the safety in 2024, but there is still a lot of time for Wisconsin to earn his commitment.

To this point, the Badgers have secured two commitments for the class of 2024, four-star quarterback Mabrey Mettauer (The Woodlands, Texas) and cornerback Austin Alexander (Chicago Heights, Illinois).

The Spartans picked up four crystal ball predictions in their favor for three-star linebacker Jeremiah Beasley of Belleville, Mich. Beasley took an unofficial visit to Michigan State for their season-opening win over Western Michigan last week, and Beasley must have been impressed during his visit.

Beasley ranks as the No. 17 linebacker and No. 9 player from Michigan in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2024 class. Michigan State has extended a scholarship offer to 2024 athlete Jeremiah Beasley of Belleville, Mich.

Beasley announced the scholarship offer from the Spartans on Tuesday — which was the first day colleges could host players on campus since the COVID-19 pandemic began. Based on the photos included in Beasley’s scholarship announcement, it appeared he was one of many recruits the Spartans hosted on Tuesday.

Beasley has yet to be ranked on 247Sports, but that is more so because he is only going to be a sophomore next year. He already has received scholarship offers from Michigan State, Maryland and Kentucky so I’m sure he’ll be a highly touted recruit soon enough.

Beasley is listed at 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds, and plays for one of the state’s best football programs in Belleville High School.
