Nebraska’s roster for the 2024-25 season took a major hit on Monday as Jamarques Lawrence entered the transfer portal.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers men’s basketball program took its biggest blow yet this offseason; on Monday evening, guard Jamarques Lawrence decided to enter the transfer portal, according to reports.

He became the fifth Husker to enter the transfer portal, joining C.J. Wilcher, Blaise Keita, Eli Rice, and Ramel Lloyd Jr.

Lawrence only averaged 6.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 34 games this past season but was expected to see a bigger role next season. Lawrence averaged 23.6 minutes per game in his 34 games played this season, which was sixth on the team.
