BREAKING: LSU flips a tight end commitment away from another SEC school

The Tigers pulled off the flip of Ka’Morreun Pimpton from Vanderbilt.

The news that every Tiger fan has been waiting for on Wednesday has finally come.

[autotag]Ka’Morreun Pimpton[/autotag], once a Vanderbilt commit, has flipped his commitment on early signing day to LSU. Pimpton is a four-star, 6-foot-6, 220-pound tight end from Fort Worth, Texas.

Pimpton committed to Vanderbilt on July 26, and he stayed locked in on the Commodores until Wednesday. He spent the last two weekends taking visits to Texas and LSU so it came down to those three schools and the Tigers came out on top.

Pimpton is the third tight end signee of the 2023 recruiting class, following [autotag]Mac Markway[/autotag] and [autotag]Jackson McGohan[/autotag]. There have been some hits and misses so far for [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] on national signing day, but this one is a big win for the Tigers.

The day is still young and we could see a lot more signees rolling in soon. This recruiting class just keeps getting better.

BREAKING: 2023 tight end Jackson McGohan commits to LSU

McGohan becomes the second tight end commit in LSU’s class and 24th player overall.

LSU entered the game late for three-star tight end [autotag]Jackson McGohan[/autotag] from Miamisburg, Ohio, but they came on very strong. On Tuesday, McGohan announced his commitment to the Tigers.

McGohan plays for Miamisburg High School. The Vikings finished the 2022 season 4-6. After offering McGohan on Nov. 29, LSU brought him in for a visit on Dec. 10 to show him a day in the life of an LSU Tiger.

The Tigers have been trending as the favorite for McGohan ever since they offered him. They received two crystal ball projections (one on Dec. 5 and one on Dec. 11) and they were the favorite to land him at 97% per On3.

McGohan becomes the 24th commit of the 2023 class and the second tight end of the class, joining Mac Markway from St. Louis, Missouri. The early signing period begins on Dec. 21, so we could see a lot of these guys sign their names on the dotted line very soon.

It could be a December to remember for LSU recruiting.

LSU predicted to flip three-star Cincinnati commit

The Tigers will hope to take advantage of the turmoil at Cincinnati.

Life comes at you fast, especially if you are one of the best high school football players in the country.

[autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] and the LSU Tigers offered 2023 three-star tight end [autotag]Jackson McGohan[/autotag] on Nov. 29th. Four days after being offered by LSU, it has been predicted to flip the talented athlete from his commitment to Cincinnati to come to the Bayou and don the purple and gold.

McGohan is 6-foot-4, 232 pounds, and he has been committed to the Bearcats since Jan. 19. Things have changed since then, as Luke Fickell has decided to leave Cincinnati to take his talents to Madison, Wisconsin, to be the next head coach of the Badgers.

A 60% prediction isn’t a sure thing, though, so we will just have to wait and see. Meanwhile, the Tigers dropped the SEC Championship Game to Georgia in a lopsided fashion. We will see if that weighs into McGohan’s decision at all.

LSU offers three-star Cincinnati commit

The Tigers will look to poach Jackson McGohan after Luke Fickell took the Wisconsin job.

[autotag]Jackson McGohan[/autotag] is a 2023, three-star, 6-foot-4, 208-pound tight end from Miamisburg, Ohio, where he plays for Miamisburg High School. The Vikings finished the 2022 season 4-6 and failed to make the playoffs.

McGohan is currently committed to playing for the Cincinnati Bearcats in college, but that could change as Luke Fickell has left to become the new head coach of the Wisconsin Badgers.

Film Analysis:Ā McGohan is a very talented tight end who can score anytime the ball is in his hands. He runs great routes and is able to create separation with ease. He has no issue skying over smaller defenders to make clutch grabs either.
