West Virginia is 9-13 against the spread (ATS) this season, including 2-8 ATS over its last 10 outings. G Taz Sherman, the Mountaineers’ leading scorer (18.9 points per game), missed the Texas Tech game (concussion protocol), didn’t practice Sunday and is uncertain for this contest.

West Virginia head coach Bob Huggins said that he hadn’t checked on Sherman’s status by Monday’s afternoon media session. That doesn’t seem like it’ll bode well for the star guard.

If that’s the case, G Sean McNeil (13.5 PPG) and F Jalen Bridges (9.0 PPG) will be tasked with leading West Virginia. If that’s the case, it’ll be tough for the Mountaineers to break their losing streak.

Despite Iowa State’s struggles on the road, it has marquee wins over now-No. 20 Texas and Texas Tech. The Cyclones are the more proven team and worth backing to win.

The Cyclones have rebounded from a 31-29 loss at Baylor Sept. 25 with three consecutive victories. That includes an impressive 24-21 win against then-No. 9 Oklahoma State last Saturday to vault the ‘Clones back into the rankings. The Over has cashed in three of the past four outings for ISU, too.
