Both the United States and International teams for the 2021 Arnold Palmer Cup were announced on Tuesday.

During an episode of Golf Channel’s Golf Today, the 36 players (18 on each team, nine men and nine women) were announced for the annual team competition for college golfers held this year at Rich Harvest Farms outside Chicago, June 11-13, 2021.

Wake Forest’s Emilia Migliaccio becomes the first American to play in four Arnold Palmer Cups, leading a team that consists of three returning players from 2020: Julia Johnson (Ole Miss), Gina Kim (Duke) and Latanna Stone (LSU).

Kareem Jackson says Broncos should be ‘first in line’ to play in London in 2021

Broncos safety Kareem Jackson wants to play in London next season.

In response to COVID-19, the NFL has announced that all games in 2020 will be played in the United States. Before the coronavirus pandemic, the league was planning to play two games in Mexico and four games in England this fall.

The Broncos were expected to face the Falcons in London this season but that game will now be played in Atlanta. Denver safety Kareem Jackson tweeted that he was “sick” about the news.

The Broncos haven’t played in England since 2020. Denver fans across the pond are eager for the team to return to the United Kingdom.

Next year, the Broncos will have a road game against an AFC South opponent who finishes in the same place in their respective division.

So if Denver and the Jaguars both finish second in their divisions, they will be scheduled to play in 2021. That game could be a candidate to be played in London. The Broncos are also scheduled to face Jacksonville on the road in 2022.

Denver’s finalized schedule with dates and times will be announced on Thursday. We already know who Denver’s 2020 opponents will be.

Broncos might play Falcons in London in 2020

Broncos president/CEO Joe Ellis wants his team to play the Falcons in London during the 2020 NFL season.

If Denver Broncos president/CEO Joe Ellis has his way, the team will face the Atlanta Falcons at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England during the 2020 NFL season.

The Falcons are scheduled to have a “home” international game and Denver is scheduled to play an away game against Atlanta next season. Ellis, who has been campaigning for an international game for years, wants that game to be played in England.

“I haven’t heard anything from the league other than I’ve pestered and begged them,” Ellis said Monday. “I think it’d be really good for us to go there. I put in a personal request to [Falcons owner] Arthur Blank and he came up to me in the last league meeting and was supportive.”

The Broncos last played in London in 2010 against the San Francisco 49ers. Denver lost that game 24-16 but it was good exposure for the team.

“The league has to do what’s best for them in terms of their international strategy,” Ellis said, “but I think it would be good for the franchise, good for the organization . . . . I’m basically begging to get it because I think it’d be very good for us to play there.”

Last year, the NFL announced its international games for the 2019 season in late January. The league will likely announce its 2020 international games at a similar time this year, so Ellis should have an answer in the coming weeks.
