Chiefs WR DeAndre Hopkins is dealing with a knee injury. Here are the latest updates.

Starting wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was added to the Kansas City Chiefs injury report in Week 11 ahead of their tilt against the Buffalo Bills.

The Chiefs will need every available player for this highly anticipated showdown, is Hopkins expected to play?

DeAndre Hopkins injury update

Hopkins is listed with a knee injury, but the team hasn’t indicated his condition will limit the veteran wideout’s ability play.

He is likely to be removed from the injury report in Week 12.

How long will DeAndre Hopkins be out?

Hopkins is expected to play against the Bills on Sunday. He did not miss any practices this week and was a full participant in all three days of the team’s drills in preparation for Buffalo.

Chiefs WR depth chart

While Hopkins is likely to start against Buffalo, he could see a load reduction against the Bills due to the return of JuJu Smith-Schuster, who was absent from his starting role in Week 10 due to a hamstring injury. Xavier Worthy will also be available to make receptions for Kansas City’s offense on Sunday, alongside Mecole Hardman and Justin Watson.

Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker shares update after successful surgery

#Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker gave fans an update on his condition in a post to Twitter after he underwent a surgical procedure this week.

The Kansas City Chiefs will be without Harrison Butker for at least four games after the veteran kicker was placed on the defending Super Bowl champions’ injured reserve list.

Butker is dealing with a knee injury and is set to be replaced by rookie boot Spencer Shrader, who was signed off of the New York Jets’ practice squad by Kansas City on Thursday.

The exact nature of Butker’s injury remains unclear, but he underwent a surgical procedure this week to fix the knee issue.

On Friday morning, Butker took to Twitter to let fans know that the surgery he had on his knee was a success:

Though Butker isn’t expected to miss the rest of the season due to this latest setback, his absence is something to watch over the next few weeks as the Chiefs look to keep their undefeated record intact.

Kansas City is set to face the Buffalo Bills in Week 11.

Chiefs to sign Jets kicker Spencer Shrader to replace Harrison Butker

The Kansas City #Chiefs are set to sign rookie kicker Spencer Shrader off the New York #Jets’ practice squad after Harrison Butker’s injury.

Injuries continue to pile up for the Kansas City Chiefs heading into their Week 11 matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

On Thursday, it was revealed that the defending Super Bowl champions intend to place star kicker Harrison Butker on their injured reserve list.

Butker is said to have a knee injury, but the exact nature of his condition is unclear.

The veteran kicker did not appear on Kansas City’s injury report on Wednesday.

As a result of Butker’s injury, the Chiefs are reportedly signing rookie kicker Spencer Shrader off of the New York Jets’ practice squad.

Shrader played at the University of South Florida and Notre Dame as a collegian and signed with the Indianapolis Colts as a free agent after the 2024 NFL draft.

Though Kansas City’s special teams unit will need to adjust its approach with Butker on the sideline, Shrader should prove to be a worthy addition to the Chiefs’ roster.

Saints can’t allow Nick Chubb to have a bounce-back performance

Nick Chubb has struggled since returning from a major injury, and the Browns’ bye week may have been exactly what he needed. The Saints can’t allow him to bounce back:

This can’t be the game Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb returns to form, not if the New Orleans Saints want to win a second consecutive week.

Prior to being injured at the beginning of the 2023 season, Chubb was one of the best running backs in the league. There was hopes he could help add a spark to the Cleveland Browns offense upon his return. That simply didn’t happen.

Chubb’s best game was against Baltimore, where he averaged 3.2 yards per carry and ended with 52 yards.

Struggles should have been expected, and surpassing those expectations should have been a welcomed surprise.

Coming off a bye week seems like an optimal time for Chubb to step up his performance. Facing the Saints’ struggling also presents a chance to return to form. Missed tackles have plagued New Orleans this year.

Allowing Chubb to have a bounce back game will allow to the Browns to unlock their preferred method of offense. It also attacks the weaker point of the Saints defense. That’s a double whammy New Orleans can’t afford.

#Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes is dealing with ankle and hip injuries. Here are the latest updates.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is known for his toughness and tenacity, and he will need to channel all of his resistance for the defending Super Bowl champions’ Week 11 matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

Patrick Mahomes injury update

Mahomes was listed with ankle and hip injuries, but it didn’t affect his ability to run through drills with his teammates on Wednesday.

He is expected to play against the Bills on Sunday, assuming that his injuries don’t get worse through the rest of the week.

How long will Patrick Mahomes be out?

Mahomes isn’t expected to miss any time due to his current injuries, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see Andy Reid decide to pull him out of Kansas City’s matchup against Buffalo if the Chiefs get out to a big lead.

Chiefs QB depth chart

If Mahomes needs to be sidelined, Kansas City can count on veteran signal-caller Carson Wentz to lead its offense.

JuJu Smith-Schuster injury update: Latest news on Chiefs WR’s status

#Chiefs WR JuJu Smith-Schuster is dealing with a hamstring injury. Here are the latest updates.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster has been absent from his starting spot since Week 7 when he had to leave the field early in the defending Super Bowl champions’ matchup against the San Fransisco 49ers.

JuJu Smith-Schuster injury update

Starter Smith-Schuster aggravated a hamstring injury in Week 7, which forced him to take some time off to recover.

Though it is unclear whether he will play against the Buffalo Bills in Week 11, he was a limited participant in Kansas City’s practice session on Wednesday and his status seems to be trending up.

How long will JuJu Smith-Schuster be out?

It is unknown if Smith-Schuster will return in Week 11, head coach Andy Reid has indicated there is a “good chance” based on how he fares in this week’s practices.

Chiefs WR depth chart

With Smith-Schuster’s availability undecided, Kansas City’s offense may have to rely more heavily on wideouts Xavier Worthy, DeAndre Hopkins, Mecole Hardman, and Justin Watson.

Wide receivers Rashee Rice, Hollywood Brown, and Skyy Moore remain on injured reserve.

Kareem Hunt injury update: Latest news on Chiefs RB’s status

#Chiefs RB Kareem Hunt is dealing with a knee injury. Here are the latest updates.

Kareem Hunt injury update

Hunt was a full participant in Kansas City’s practice session on Wednesday, so his knee injury didn’t prevent him from getting reps in with his teammates.

How long will Kareem Hunt be out?

Hunt should be available to play against the Bills in Week 11. There has been no indication that his condition will interfere with his ability to remain the Chiefs’ starting running back.

Chiefs RB depth chart

Should Hunt suffer a setback in his recovery from this latest knee injury, Kansas City will have to rely on veteran Samaje Perine and rookie Carson Steele to lead its running game.

Isiah Pacheco, who was the Chiefs’ starting running back entering the regular season, returned to practice on Wednesday after a stint on Kansas City’s injured reserve list, but he isn’t expected to play against Buffalo on Sunday.

DeAndre Hopkins injury update: Latest news on Chiefs WR’s status

#Chiefs WR DeAndre Hopkins is dealing with a knee injury. Here are the latest updates.

The Kansas City Chiefs listed veteran wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins on their Week 11 injury report on Wednesday. Hopkins has a knee injury, but it should not keep him out of his role as a starting wide receiver in the Chiefs’ offense when Kansas City faces off against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, November 17.

DeAndre Hopkins injury update

Hopkins was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice session despite his knee injury. This is the first time that he has been listed on the Chiefs’ injury report since Kansas City traded for him in October.

How long will DeAndre Hopkins be out?

Since Hopkins was a full participant in practice today, he is expected to be available in Week 11 against the Bills.

Chiefs WR depth chart

Hopkins is expected to maintain his role as a starting wide receiver in Andy Reid’s offense. Rookie wideout Xavier Worthy will continue to see plenty of action regardless of Hopkins’ condition, and veteran pass-catcher JuJu Smith-Schuster may be able to get back on the field this week after returning to practice on Wednesday.

Additionally, the Chiefs can rely on Mecole Hardman and Justin Watson.

Marshon Lattimore to miss his second game after being traded from Saints

Marshon Lattimore won’t make his Washington Commanders debut just yet. The former Saints cornerback is going to miss his second game since being traded:

Washington Commanders fans celebrated their team making the league’s biggest move at the NFL trade deadline, but they’ll have to wait another week to get their first look at Marshon Lattimore. The former New Orleans Saints cornerback is still dealing with a hamstring injury that sidelined him for last Sunday’s game. Washington head coach Dan Quinn announced Wednesday that Lattimore won’t be able to play on Thursday night, either.

Hamstring issues have trailed Lattimore since his college days at Ohio State; it’s one reason he fell to the Saints in the 2017 NFL draft in the first place. They’ve continued to afflict Lattimore throughout his pro career including earlier this season.

Still, it’s a disappointing turn for a great talent. When he’s healthy and locked in there isn’t a better cover corner in the game than Lattimore. That’s why the Commanders traded so many draft picks to acquire him at the deadline. It’s on the Saints to make the most of those resources and prove that trading Lattimore when they did was worth it.

So will he be on the field when the Commanders visit the Caesars Superdome next month? That feels likely. By now it’s obvious there was nothing to the speculation suggesting Lattimore was taking his time recovering from injury to put pressure on New Orleans into trading him, but he should be fully recovered by the time he makes his return on Dec. 15, barring a setback. We’ll keep an eye on his progress but for now the Saints must focus on their next opponent, not one they’ll see a month from now.

Cowboys starter with rehab group to start Week 11; backup OL has practice window activated

From @ToddBrock24f7: LG Tyler Smith was seen sporting a knee wrap on Wednesday, the same day Chuma Edoga’s 21-day practice window was activated.

Get ready for the possibility of more personnel swapping along the Cowboys’ offensive line.

With rookie left tackle Tyler Guyton already having sat out last Sunday’s game against Philadelphia with a neck/shoulder injury, backup Asim Richards got the Week 10 start and played well enough to leave Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy “impressed,” despite the team’s 34-6 blowout loss.

Guyton is reportedly “trending towards being healthy” for the team’s next outing, per the team website. But now the spot next to him on the Dallas O-line is suddenly worth monitoring with the 6-4 Houston Texans coming to town for a Monday night intrastate clash.

Third-year left guard Tyler Smith was seen wearing a knee wrap during the media portion of Wednesday’s practice session, according to multiple observers. The 23-year-old worked with the rehab group, along with cornerback DaRon Bland, who has yet to make his 2024 debut after a foot injury suffered in camp.

It is not known what sort of issue Smith is experiencing. The team will not release its first practice report of the week until Thursday.

Houston enters Week 11 ranked seventh leaguewide in sacks, with 29.

In a separate move that may or may not be coincidental, reserve lineman Chuma Edoga had his 21-day practice window activated on Wednesday. The veteran had been sidelined with a toe injury prior to the season opener. Edoga started six games last season– four at left tackle and two at left guard- and could therefore theoretically be in play if Smith is unable to go.

T.J. Bass is officially listed on the team website as the primary backup to both right guard Zack Martin and Smith at left guard.

Smith currently has the third-most snaps on the Cowboys offense through nine games this season, appearing in nearly 96% of the unit’s on-field action.
