Cam Heyward brings the fire: taking on the Hot Ones challenge after receiving his $45 million dollar payday

Cam Heyward recently signed a huge contract extension with the Steelers.

The heat keeps coming for 2023 Walter Payton Man of the Year Cam Heyward, who recently signed a 3-year, $45 million contract extension with the Pittsburgh Steelers. This week, Pittsburgh’s own Cam Heyward will be featured on the hit YouTube show Hot Ones, where big-name celebrities answer interview-style questions while eating hot wings that get progressively spicier.

While NFL players have starred on the show in the past, it has also featured massive household names like Jennifer Lawrence, Idris Elba, Tom Holland, Robert Downey Jr., DJ Khaled, Megan Thee Stallion, Kevin Hart, and many more. Cam Heyward adds to this list and will likely be excited to answer questions about the upcoming 2024 season, his newly signed contract, his Super Bowl aspirations, and more on Thursday.

Whether it’s stuffing the run, sacking quarterbacks, or eating hot wings, one thing is certain: just like on the football field, Cam Heyward thrives when the heat is on.

Raiders star Davante Adams calls Commanders’ fans ‘miserable’

We aren’t sure what Adams has against Washington.

Las Vegas Raiders star Davante Adams is one of the NFL’s best wide receivers and has been for several years. Adams, who spent the first eight years of his NFL career with the Green Bay Packers catching passes from Aaron Rodgers, was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders in 2022.

Despite quarterback issues in Las Vegas, Adams remains one of the NFL’s top offensive stars. Off the field, Adams is one of five NFL stars currently featured on the Netflix show, “Receiver.”

One of Adams’ co-stars on “Receiver,” Lions star Amon-Ra St. Brown, recently joined Adams on “Hot Ones,” a part of “First We Feast,” where the pair ask one another questions while eating hot wings. The object of the game is to eat a wing after every question, with the wings being progressively hotter with each question.

Adams and St. Brown asked one another all sorts of questions, one of which was which NFL fan base is the worst. Adams’ answer came out of left field.

“The Washington Football Team, they obviously just miserable because the stadium is horrible, the city is not great at all,” Adams said. “I’m probably going to get somebody at my front door after this, but that’s just how I feel. We (are) on “Hot Ones” right now.”

What did Washington do to Adams? You’d think Adams would save some of his ire toward Green Bay’s former rivals, such as Chicago or Minnesota, but Washington?

Adams has played four career games against Washington. His stat line reads 20 receptions, 211 yards (10.6 YPC), and two touchdowns—not great numbers. Perhaps that’s why Adams has a beef with Washington.

Here’s the show:

Brandon Marshall laments Jay Cutler not reaching ‘half of his potential’

“Jay Cutler should’ve won a Super Bowl … he didn’t reach half of his potential,” former Broncos WR Brandon Marshall said.

During a recent interview with “Hot Ones” host Sean Evans, former NFL wide receiver Brandon Marshall lamented retired quarterback Jay Cutler not living up to his potential.

“The worst quarterback that I played with, and listen, just understand that there was so much potential … was Jay Cutler,” Marshall said. “Jay Cutler should’ve won a Super Bowl. Jay Cutler had everything that it took to be one of the most legendary quarterbacks. And so, I would say Jay Cutler because he didn’t reach half of his potential.”

Mike Shanahan drafted Cutler in the first round of the 2006 NFL draft out of Vanderbilt. Cutler spent his first three seasons under Shanahan and had a career year in 2008, earning a trip to the Pro Bowl.

The Broncos then fired Shanahan and replaced him with Josh McDaniels, who promptly attempted to trade for his former backup quarterback with the New England Patriots, Matt Cassel. Cutler was understandably upset by that and asked for a trade.

McDaniels eventually granted Cutler’s request, trading the QB to the Chicago Bears ahead of the 2009 season. Marshall later reunited in Chicago in 2012. They played six combined seasons together, three in Denver (2006-2008) and three in Chicago (2012-2014).

Cutler spent 12 years in the NFL and he never matched his career-best season under Shanahan after the 2008 campaign.

A Sydney Sweeney moment from Hot Ones immediately became a meme

We have a new Hot Ones meme!

Sydney Sweeney is fast becoming a star between Euphoria and Anyone But You (in which she actually got bit by a spider, EEP!), which means it’s time for her to join so many other big names on Hot Ones, eating wings with ridiculously potent sauces.

But we’re not here to talk about one of those moments in which she tears up or has metaphorical smoke coming out of her ears like we’ve seen with other celebs on the interview show. No, it’s a smiling photo of her that’s become the meme in question.

Check out the memes that have popped up:

Too good!

The New York Liberty released their 2024 schedule by comically torturing Breanna Stewart with hot wings

“Is this what it feels like when other teams play us?”

The New York Liberty’s 2024 schedule is HOT. Literally.

The WNBA dropped its 2024 schedule Monday, and it’s got some spicy matchups during opening night, including games featuring the Las Vegas Aces and New York Liberty, who just met in the 2023 WNBA Finals.

Teams get really creative in announcing their schedules. The Atlanta Dream invited Clark Atlanta University’s band to help reveal their slate. The Phoenix Mercury had Brittney Griner and Sophie Cunningham play Chubby Bunny with marshmallows to tell fans their opponents.

However, New York Liberty quite literally wanted some extra flavor for their schedule release content. With the help of Hot Ones and women’s sports advocate Arielle Chambers, the team got 2023 MVP Breanna Stewart to walk through a tortuous gauntlet of wings.

Steph Curry’s stories about Kobe Bryant on Hot Ones were made even better with the video clips

It was a perfect play-by-play from memory.

The SAG-AFTRA strike has essentially brought the promotional duties from actors to a complete stop, forcing shows like Hot Ones to look elsewhere for celebrity guests. This week, the show re-visited the sports world with Warriors star Steph Curry taking on the wings a couple weeks after England’s Harry Kane.

Curry’s appearance on the show — where guests answer questions while eating increasingly spicier wings — didn’t disappoint.

During the interview, host Sean Evans asked Curry about what it meant for him that Kobe Bryant was one of the first NBA stars to recognize Curry’s greatness. That led to Curry sharing a couple stories about how he impressed Kobe, and The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor managed to find clips of the moments Curry referred to.

Honestly, that was so cool to watch.

And despite some doubt from his family members, Curry put together an excellent performance on Hot Ones and was basically unaffected by the heat until the notorious Da Bomb Beyond Insanity sauce.

Fans also enjoyed seeing this perspective from Curry with the video clips included. It was like a perfect play-by-play from memory.

Watch: Steph Curry makes appearance on ‘Hot Ones’ with Sean Evans

The two-time Most Valuable Player made a spicy appearance on “Hot Ones.”

Steph Curry has had a busy offseason.

Since the Golden State Warriors’ second-round exit from the postseason with a loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, Curry has been active. The two-time Most Valuable Player is coming off a win on the golf course at a celebrity tournament in Lake Tahoe. Following his win on the greens, Curry and his family attended a Drake concert in Brooklyn.

Next on the offseason tour — an appearance on the popular show, “Hot Ones.” During the YouTube show, guests join host Sean Evans to answer questions while trying spicy hot sauces.

During the interview, Evans asked about Curry’s journey through basketball, his documentary on Apple TV+, his win on the golf course at the American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe, his relationship with Kobe Bryant and other questions.

While Evans fired questions at Curry, the two-time Most Valuable Player had a full-tasting menu of different hot sauces on chicken wings.

Pedro Pascal was his usual charming self despite suffering on Hot Ones

Pedro Pascal eating hot wings. What else could you ask for?

There’s arguably no actor hotter than Pedro Pascal right now, and he put it to the test on Thursday morning with a visit to the wildly popular Hot Ones show to eat some wings. Pascal, who is the lead in both Disney+’s The Mandalorian and HBO’s The Last of Us, has completely taken over the internet with his charm, interviews and decidedly handsome good looks.

If you’re unfamiliar with the premise of the show, host Sean Evans interviews stars as they eat a series of increasingly spicy chicken wings. Some of the absolute best memes — including Paul Rudd’s iconic “Hey, look at us,” moment — came from Hot Ones.

“Thank you for having me,” Pascal said to open the show. “I’m so glad for the opportunity to finally be taken seriously.”

It was a perfect episode with a perfect guest, and you should all watch it immediately.

He gave the world so much more content to create future TikTok edits with, asked to take a bite out of someone’s arm to handle the heat and said Grogu (Baby Yoda) kept stealing his scenes by being so dang cute.

Put Pedro Pascal in everything, please.
