The Bruins (-154) are 16-2-9 at home, losing just twice in regulation, but I’m backing the GOLDEN KNIGHTS (+125). It’s a solid value play as Vegas is re-energized and re-focused with a new coach. They’ll want to close out their final game before the All-Star break with a strong performance. Plus, Fleury is 6-3-2 with a 2.47 GAA and .921 SV% on the road.

Puck Line/Against the Spread (PL/ATS)

AVOID. Vegas (+1.5, -209) and Boston (-1.5, +170) are both under .500 vs. the PL. Vegas is 19-32 overall and 10-14 on the road vs. the PL, while the Bruins are 23-27 overall and 11-16 at home vs. the PL.

Over/Under (O/U)

The OVER 5.5 (-134) is the STRONGEST PLAY. Eight of Vegas’ last nine games have seen at least 6 goals. That’s enough to convince me – even though Boston is 1-4 O/U in its last five games as a home favorite.

He is 13-8-2 with a 3.05 GAA and .898 save percentage at T-Mobile Arena in 23 starts, while going 5-2-1 with a 2.30 GAA and .927 SV% in eight starts and nine appearances away from home.

Ullmark is coming off a 5-1 victory over the Detroit Red Wings on the road Sunday, and he has started nine of the past 10. That’s because Carter Hutton, who started out 6-0-0, hasn’t won since the end of October, going 0-7-2 since. Ullmark is a respectable 14-12-3 with a 2.81 GAA and .911 SV% overall.

Over/Under (O/U)

The OVER 5.5 (-143) is the best play on the board. The Over is 5-1 in the past six games overall for the Golden Knights, and 5-1 in their past six as a favorite. The Over has also hit in four of the past five for the Sabres when their playing the fourth game in a 4-in-6 (four games in six games) situation.

The Michigan native has alternated wins and losses over his last five starts, most recently allowing four goals on 38 shots in a 4-1 home loss to the Nashville Predators Saturday. Fleury is 18-9-3 with a 2.84 GAA and .908 SV%. He had a four-game win streak snapped with Tuesday’s loss when he faced only 16 shots but allowed four Penguins goals. The OVER 5.5 (-115) is worth a small-unit bet. The number has gone Over in five of VGK’s past six overall, and four of the past five at home. While the Under is 13-6 in Pittsburgh’s past 19 as an underdog, the Over is 7-3 in the past 10 against teams with a winning overall mark.

The GOLDEN KNIGHTS (+115) are getting plus-money on the road where they’re 8-7-2 straight up.

The Knights took a 4-2 loss on the road against the St. Louis Blues Thursday and play for the third time in four nights, while the Stars have had three days off. Vegas started strong Thursday with a two-goal first period, and a similar start against a shakier opponent would present a safer lead.

Marc-Andre Fleury vs. Jordan Binnington

Fleury was outstanding Tuesday against the Chicago Blackhawks in his first action since Nov. 23 due to a personal absence. He nearly posted a shutout, allowing a power-play goal with an extra attacker in the final minute. He picked up the win, however, improving to 3-1-1 over the past five starts with the “Under” hitting in each outing.

Binnington was pulled for the first time in his NHL career in a loss against Toronto Saturday. He has dropped back-to-back starts, but is still 13-6-4 with a 2.45 GAA and .921 save percentage overall.

The GOLDEN KNIGHTS (-106) are a good play on the road against the Blues (-115), who has been stumbling of late. You’ll be going against the trends in this series, as Vegas is 1-4 in the past five head-to-head matchups, with the home team 5-1 in the past six, but the Golden Knights are playing better hockey lately.

Puck Line/Against the Spread (ATS)

PASS. I don’t like the puck line in this series. Fleury and Binnington are good goaltenders and when they’re on their game, this has the potential to be a low-scoring game, possibly decided in overtime or a shootout. If you’re wondering, Vegas is +1.5 (-295) and St. Louis is -1.5 (+230).

Over/Under (O/U)

The UNDER 5.5 (-106) is 5-1 in the past six for the Golden Knights, while going 5-2 in the past seven inside the Western Conference. The Blues have hit the Under in seven of their past eight against the West, while going 4-0 in the past four vs. Pacific Division foes.

Henrik Lundqvist vs. Marc-Andre Fleury

Lundqvist has a 7-6-2 record for New Jersey with a 3.21 goals against average and a .910 save percentage. Lundqvist’s last appearance was Monday when he stopped 28 of 32 shots in a loss at home to these very same Golden Knights.

Fleury has a 11-6-2 record, sporting a 2.54 GAA and a .919 SV%. The expected Vegas starter has not played since Nov. 23 when he yielded four goals in a home loss to the Edmonton Oilers.

Moneyline (ML)

The GOLDEN KNIGHTS (-223), 7-5-3 at home, are the rested team going up against a Rangers squad on the first game of a four-game road trip. New York is a respectable 6-5-1 on the road. However, Vegas has won four straight matchups against the Rangers. Finally, New York allows 3.42 goals per game on the road this year. Back Vegas and roll the bones!

A $10 bet with Vegas results in a $4.48 profit with an outright win for the Golden Knights. Or every $2.23 wagered on a Knights win would profit $1 if they prevail.

Puck Line/Against the Spread (ATS)

The Rangers are 19-9 ATS, which is tops in the NHL. The Golden Knights are just 12-19 ATS (30th in the league). That gives us some pause here, so it’s best to AVOID.

Over/Under (O/U)

The UNDER 6.5 (-150) is a bit of risk even knowing that Vegas gives up three goals a game at home. There are some concerns about rust with both goaltenders. Lundqvist is just getting over the flu, while Fleury dealt with the loss of his father recently. The other slight concern is that New York allows 35.9 shots per game and is just 76.9% (23rd) on the penalty kill. On the other hand, both teams combine for 6.04 goals per game. Lean slightly to the UNDER.
