Peyton Manning stars in promo for ‘Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire’

Peyton and Eli Manning star in a funny new commercial promoting the new ‘Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire’ movie.

The dynamic duo of Peyton and Eli Manning recently added to their impressive post-career achievements with a new advertisement promoting the new film “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.”

The Omaha Production’s spot features the former signal-callers in their “quarter-zip” jackets, which the former Bronco declares are “the perfect item of clothing to defeat a death chill.”

The next scene shows the brothers joining Ghostbusters old and new, in Ghostbusting quarter-zip jackets that have actor Paul Rudd lamenting, “Damn, they stole our gear!” As a monster descends upon the ghost-busting crowd, Eli, suggesting the entity is too powerful, says that he and Peyton should flee. Peyton, with his signature wit replies, “We’re pocket passers! We can’t run!”

Check out the funny promo below:

This spot continues the success of the First Family of Football, who won a Sports Emmy in 2022 for their dual production of the “ManningCast,” as well as the successful Omaha Productions programs including “Peyton’s Places” and “Eli’s Places” on ESPN Plus.

“Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” debuts in theaters on March 22.

Something strange in Notre Dame’s neighborhood

Who you gonna call?

It has been quite the week at Notre Dame. Condoleezza Rice and Rick Bayless were on campus, but neither caused quite the stir that Peyton and Eli Manning did. At first, some attention seekers on social media claimed the two Super Bowl winning quarterbacks were there because of their five-star quarterback nephew, Arch Manning.

That clearly turned out to be false, but the Mannings were at Notre Dame to record part of an episode of “Peyton’s Places,” which airs on ESPN+.  ESPN describes the show as one that “revisits seminal moments in NFL history through conversations with former players, coaches and other key figures about football and its cultural impact.”

Notre Dame was a stop on that tour, and we know that once it airs it will feature some kind of ghost busting by a two hall of famers and a third that likely will be before long.

That was very cool of the Mannings to let a Notre Dame student participate in the skit with them.  I’m looking forward to it whenever it gets released.

A new Ghostbusters video game is in development, according to Ernie Hudson

Now the theme song is stuck in your head.

Ernie Hudson claims that a new Ghostbusters  video game is in the works.

A story by  Ghostbusters News  reported that Hudson, best known for his role as Winston Zeddemore in the original film, attended Celebrity Fan Fest in San Antonio, Texas, this past weekend. During a panel, Hudson shared some exciting details about the franchise’s future.

“I just got an e-mail, because we’re doing another video game. They’re scheduling it now to do the recording, and I’m not too sure who’s going to do i. I know me and [Dan Aykroyd], I think,” Hudson said via  Ghostbusters News. “I’m not sure about [Bill Murray] will do anything on it. So, there will be another video game. When they’ll bring it out, I don’t know, but it’s definitely happening.”

You can watch a complete recording of the panel on YouTube  here.

Hudson even explained that he’s been in contact with developers about approving his likeness for the game.

“They’ve been sending me prototypes of the character to get the image right, which they seem to have a hard time somehow creating my image,” Hudson said via  Ghostbusters News. “It’s so weird to me that they can get Bill Murray, and Dan Aykroyd, and Harold Ramis to look exactly like they look, but I end up looking like Eddie Murphy or somebody.”

There’s no official word on what studio might be working on this alleged video game project or what platforms it might be on just yet. Though Ghostbusters News claims  Illfonic is allegedly involved.

The last video game based on the series was 2018’s Ghostbusters World, a mobile VR title. Since then, however, there’s not been a full-fledged Ghostbusters  video game, not even a tie-in with the recent Ghostbusters: Afterlife  film.

WATCH: Travis Kelce makes a ‘Ghostbusters’ trade with Chiefs superfan Paul Rudd

#Chiefs superfan Paul Rudd stars in ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ and Travis Kelce joined him in a funny commercial promoting the film. | from @EdEastonJr

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has a spot in the latest advertisement for the upcoming “Ghostbusters: Afterlife.”

The newest installment in the franchise stars Chiefs superfan, Paul Rudd. Kelce shared a short thirty-second commercial on Monday where he’s pictured speaking with Rudd via Facetime, discussing a recent trade between the two. Kelce sent Rudd a signed football and in return, he received one of the Ghostbusters iconic proton packs. The All-Pro Chiefs star hilariously attempts to use the device while Rudd is negotiating a way to get it back.

Thankfully, Kelce only got one proton pack. He can do enough damage with the one and we all know what happens when you cross the beams.

Both Kelce and Rudd are on a bit of a roll lately when it comes to accomplishments. Kelce’s first reception on Sunday night vs. the Raiders gave him a reception in 120 consecutive games. That’s good for the second-longest streak in Chiefs franchise history and is the fourth-longest active streak in the NFL. Rudd was recently named People magazine’s sexiest man alive. He also, of course, stars in the “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” which opens in theaters nationwide on Thursday night.
