It’s Thursday, July 23 and today’s play of the day comes from Georgia versus Florida in 1981.

The Bulldogs were down by two points early in the fourth quarter while trying to complete a 14-point come back. It was Georgia’s ball at the Gators’ 4-yard-line and Georgia tailback Herschel Walker took the Georgia power sweep off of left tackle, beating the Florida defense to the corner of the end zone for the score, giving Georgia the lead.

The Bulldogs would hold on to complete a 14-point comeback 26-21. Walker’s 47 carries were the most in a single game in his career at Georgia.

It’s Tuesday, June 14 and today’s play of the day is from Georgia versus Florida in 2012.

Florida, then ranked No. 2, was looking to stay undefeated when it faced 10th-ranked Georgia, but a stingy Georgia defense and this huge play by the Bulldog offense sealed the upset win for Georgia at EverBank Field.

Georgia held a one-point lead and faced a critical third down from the Florida 45-yard-line late in the fourth quarter. Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray stood in the pocket and delivered a strike under pressure to receiver Malcolm Mitchell, who somehow found the end zone.

The Bulldogs won 17-9 after Georgia outside linebacker Jarvis Jones forced the game-ending Florida fumble.
