Behind Enemy Lines: 5 questions with Gators Wire

We sat down with Gators Wire to learn more about Florida ahead of UGA vs. UF

No. 1 Georgia (7-0) is headed to Jacksonville for the annual matchup with Florida (4-3).

Both teams enter week-nine coming off of a bye. UGA’s last contest was a 30-13 home win over No. 11 Kentucky and Florida’s, a 49-42 loss to LSU.

The Gators handed Georgia a 44-28 loss last year for Florida’s first win in the series since 2016. This year, the Bulldogs look for redemption and a chance to move to 8-0 on the season.

To learn more about Florida, we spoke with Tyler Nettuno at Gators Wire

Georgia at Florida odds, picks and best bets

Previewing Wednesday’s Georgia Bulldogs at Florida Gators betting odds and lines, with college basketball betting picks.

The Georgia Bulldogs (12-9, 2-6 SEC) and Florida Gators (13-8, 5-3) tangle at Exactech Arena at 7 p.m. ET Wednesday. We analyze the Georgia-Florida odds and betting lines, while providing college basketball betting tips and advice on this matchup.

Georgia at Florida: Three things you need to know

1. The Bulldogs slapped the brakes on a four-game skip with a 15-point win over Texas A&M last time out. While they have been losing fairly regularly lately, they are 3-1 ATS across the past four outings.

2. The Gators kept Vanderbilt’s conference losing skid intact with a 61-55 win in Nashville Saturday, but the Gators failed to cover for the third consecutive outing.

3. Florida F Kerry Blackshear Jr. leads the team with 14.0 points and 8.3 rebounds per game, and he is hitting his 3-pointers at a 31.7-percent clip across 21 outings. He is one of four players on the Gators roster averaging double-digit points.

Prediction

Florida 76, Georgia 70

Moneyline (ML)

The Gators (-500) should win this one rather handily, but it’s not wise to risk five times the return on investment. The Bulldogs are +375.

Against the Spread (ATS)

The Gators (-9.5, -110) have been having some trouble against the spread lately, although they are getting it done in the win-loss column. As such, roll with GEORGIA (+9.5, -110) catching the points. Plus, the road team is 6-1 ATS in the previous seven meetings, which also is a trend that points to UGA.

Over/Under (O/U)

OVER 142 (-110) is worth a light, light play, as it might be a sweat shop all evening long. If this game goes Over, it likely won’t be until the final minute. The Over is 4-1 in UGA’s past five against teams with a winning percentage over .600, 12-4 in Florida’s past 16 overall, and 8-2 in Florida’s past 10 after a straight-up win.

Georgia at Georgia Tech odds, picks and best bets

Previewing Saturday’s Georgia Bulldogs at Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets college football matchup, with NCAA football betting odds, picks and best bets

The Georgia Bulldogs (10-1) and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (3-8) renew their Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate rivalry which dates to 1893. The ‘Dogs and Jackets will meet Saturday at Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta at noon ET. We analyze the Georgia-Georgia Tech odds and betting lines, while providing college football betting tips and advice on this matchup.

Georgia enters the contest ranked No. 4 in the Amway Coaches Poll powered by USA Today Sports. It’s also No. 4 in the College Football Playoff Rankings.

Georgia at Georgia Tech: Three things you need to know

1. The Georgia run defense has yielded three 100-yard games this season. Those aren’t individual player efforts allowed, mind you. They are single-game, team rushing yards … more than 100 just THREE times. And even then, on two of those occasions (Vanderbilt Aug. 31 and South Carolina Oct. 12), UGA held foes to under 4.0 YPC. Through 11 games, the Bulldogs have allowed one rushing touchdown.

2. In four road games this season, Georgia QB Jake Fromm has completed 66% of his passes (eight for TDs against no interceptions) for 208 YPG. He’s been a solid complement to a UGA run game, which has averaged 5.3 YOC away from Athens. It has all led to a 4-0 ATS mark on the road (the Bulldogs are 9-2 ATS over their last 11 road tilts.

3. All three of Georgia Tech’s victories this season have been by one score. That includes last week’s 28-26 win over North Carolina State in which the Yellow Jackets garnered many a hidden yard in special teams and turnover exchanges.

Prediction

Georgia 41, Georgia Tech 3

Moneyline (ML)

Will PASS on the lofty Georgia -5000 moneyline price.

New to sports betting? A $10 wager on Georgia returns a profit of $0.20 if the Bulldogs win.

Against the Spread (ATS)

The Bulldogs were a -4 in turnover margin when they were upset by South Carolina Oct. 12. Since then, UGA hasn’t managed more than one takeaway in any game, nor have the Bulldogs had even a single giveway. Depending on the foe, that’s amounted to five straight boat races with cushions of one, two or three scores. Expect more of the same here, only in a contest with four-score differential. Plus a tad more as Georgia ices away an SEC East title and makes a recruiting pitch to some in-state prospects.

Taking GEORGIA -28.5, +100.

Over/Under (O/U)

The O/U is 46.5 (-110, -110), a fair price that draws no action here.
