Georgia vs. Florida odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s Georgia Bulldogs vs. Florida Gators odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs (7-0, 5-0 SEC) and Florida Gators (4-3, 2-3) meet Saturday in their traditional neutral-site battle at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Fla. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Georgia vs. Florida odds and lines, and make our expert college football picks, predictions and bets.

The Bulldogs held off Kentucky in Athens by a 30-13 score, although they failed to cover the spread as 21.5-point favorites, snapping a 3-0 (against the spread) ATS run. It was, however, Georgia’s third Under in a row.

The Gators are coming off a bye after they were on the short end of a 49-42 loss at LSU in Death Valley Oct. 16. The Gators have alternated wins and losses in each of the past six, while also going 3-3 ATS during the span. The Under is 3-1 in the past four outings.

Georgia vs. Florida odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Georgia 31, Florida 17

Money line

Georgia (-650) will cost you six and a half times your potential return. That’s risky business in a rivalry game. While I expect things won’t go off the rails for the top-ranked team, this is too much risk for not enough reward.

AVOID and look to the spread.

Against the spread

FLORIDA +14.5 (-117) is the lean here as I think the hook actually comes into play and has a big meaning in this rivalry game. Georgia hasn’t allowed more than 13 points in any of its seven games, so it requires a bit of a leap of faith to take the Gators. But this is a rivalry game and anything can happen in a tilt between these two.

Over/Under

UNDER 50.5 (-103) is the play in all UGA games until further notice. The surprise of this game might be the Gators scoring the most points the Bulldogs have allowed this season, but the top-ranked team will keep its title hopes alive in a low-scoring affair.
