Auburn in top group for 5-star QB George MacIntyre

Auburn is firmly in the mix for one of the top players in the 2025 recruiting cycle.

[autotag]George MacIntyre[/autotag] is one of the top quarterbacks in the 2025 recruiting cycle and nearly every school in the country is recruiting him. Unfortunately for most of them, he has trimmed his recruitment to 10 schools and one of them is the Auburn Tigers.

He revealed a top 10 of Auburn, Alabama, Florida State, FIU, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Oregon, Tennessee and UCLA, Monday night on social media.

MacIntyre is the No. 13 overall player and No. 2 quarterback in the 247Sports composite ranking. The Nashville native is also the No. 1 player from Tennessee.

Auburn extended an offer to him on Oct. 20, 2022, and is looking to get him on campus for his first visit to the Plains.

The Tigers have already landed several recruits in the 2025 cycle, including four-star edge rusher [autotag]Jakaleb Faulk[/autotag] and four-star defensive lineman [autotag]Malik Autry[/autotag].

LSU reportedly making a convincing pitch to elite 2025 quarterback

LSU is making an early impression on top-15 2025 quarterback prospect George MacIntyre.

While LSU looks to complete its 2024 class, the quarterback spot isn’t much of a concern. [autotag]Colin Hurley[/autotag] has long been committed and seems about as solid as can be.

Hurley was originally a 2025 prospect, and his reclassifying opened the door for LSU to take another in next year’s cycle. Potentially, one of the top quarterbacks on the board.

Five-star prospect [autotag]George MacIntyre[/autotag] from Brentwood Academy in Nashville ranks as the No. 2 passer and No. 12 overall prospect in 2025, according to the 247Sports Composite. He visited LSU this summer alongside a number of other trips to blue-blood programs.

The Tigers have caught his attention, however. Quarterbacks coach Joe Sloan has told him LSU is keeping its QB offer list small in hopes of landing him, according to On3’s Shea Dixon (subscription required), and he intends to take another trip during the season, possibly for the Arkansas game on Sept. 3.

It wouldn’t be MacIntyre’s first trip to Tiger Stadium as he was on hand for the upset win over Alabama last fall.

LSU currently has just two commits in the 2025 class and will hope to add a momentum-shifting one in MacIntyre. There’s no clear leader per On3, with Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Alabama and LSU fairly close together on the Recruiting Prediction Machine.

LSU hosts elite five-star 2025 quarterback for weekend visit

The Tigers will hope they can make a strong impression on Brentwood Academy (Tenn.) passer George MacIntyre.

Even with a solid quarterback outlook in the coming years, you can never neglect to add talent at the position, which has become even more crucial in the transfer portal era.

With that in mind, LSU is targeting several of the top signal-callers in the 2025 cycle, and it hosted one of them on campus this weekend in five-star Brentwood Academy (Tenn.) prospect [autotag]George MacIntyre[/autotag].

The 6-foot-5 prospect ranks as the No. 30 overall player in the 2025 class, per the 247Sports Composite, and he’s the No. 3 quarterback. He picked up an offer from LSU on March 10, one of several recent big-time offers he’s landed.

In addition to the three scholarship quarterbacks currently on the roster — [autotag]Jayden Daniels[/autotag], [autotag]Garrett Nussmeier[/autotag] and [autotag]Rickie Collins[/autotag] — LSU also has a commitment from 2024 blue-chip passer [autotag]Colin Hurley[/autotag], who reclassified from 2025.

With some attrition between now and MacIntyre’s signing all but inevitable, LSU will look to add another quarterback in that class, and MacIntyre would be an elite option.

Wisconsin offers four-star class of 2025 QB from Tennessee

The Badgers offered George MacIntyre, a class of 2025 four-star quarterback from Brentwood, Tennessee on Monday.

The Badgers offered George MacIntyre, a four-star quarterback from Brentwood, Tennessee on Monday. The 6-foot-5, 178 pound signal-caller still has two more seasons of high school at Brentwood Academy before he could join a collegiate program as a member of their class of 2025.

MacIntyre has now received 25 Division 1 offers, including Michigan, Purdue and Wisconsin from within the Big Ten. Considering the fact that Luke Fickell has already brought in four-star quarterback Mabrey Mettauer (The Woodlands, Texas) for the class of 2024 and multiple four-star QBs in the transfer portal, it’s not wild to think he could reel in MacIntyre as well.

Considering that MacIntyre is from the state of Tennessee, the Volunteers have to be a considered a favorite to earn his commitment, but Wisconsin is certainly in the race.

During his sophomore season, MacIntyre was relatively effective. He passed for over 2,000 yards to go along with 19 touchdowns through the air.

Though it is early in his recruitment, numerous other high-profile programs are trying to land his commitment. It’ll be quite sometime before a firm decision is made public.
