Five-on-5 analytics peg the Panthers as being a bit too far out over their skis with their won-loss record, and Bobrovsky — who has been propped up a bit by a .905 SV% on penalty kills — has not been particularly sharp. The STARS (-110) are worth a look as they look to bounce back from Friday’s high-scoring loss.

In this battle of backup goaltenders, backing Dallas with DeSmith is a good idea. He hasn’t been nearly as giving as Knight for Florida.

Both of these teams were pretty good playing on no rest last season, with Florida going 6-1-1 with a plus-9 goal differential, and Dallas was 6-3-2 with a plus-9 goal differential.

Puck line/Against the spread

The Stars +1.5 (-250) will cost you 2½ times your potential return if you would like some insurance on the team considered the ‘away’ team in Saturday’s rematch. That’s way too expensive, even if you were to fold this into a multi-leg or cross-sport parlay.

Over/Under

UNDER 6.5 (-120) was a terrible play on Friday, but we’ll go with it again Saturday.

The Under is still 5-2-2 in the past 9 games for Dallas. In addition, the Under went 6-2 in 8 games for Florida when playing on no rest last season.

A perhaps Stanley Cup-hungover Florida squad has filed some uneven performances thus far.

Bob will keep the Cats in this one, but they’re missing too much star power with Barkov and Tkachuk out. VGK is a huge, physical team, and the addition of D Noah Hanifan at last year’s deadline made them even deadlier. Eichel is playing at an MVP level, and the GOLDEN KNIGHTS (+100) take this one.

Puck line/Against the spread

Skip the puck line here. Barkov is one of the best defensive forwards in hockey, and his assignment would be Eichel. So Eichel is going to be more free to move offensively. I don’t like his shot total (3.5) because he has 1 SOG in 3 straight games. But he is facilitating with an assist in 4 of 5 games. Take JACK EICHEL OVER 0.5 ASSISTS (-120).

Over/Under

At full strength, I would take the Under here. With Barkov and Tkachuk out, and Bobrovsky not quite on his A-game, we’re going Over. Vegas is 4-1 O/U this season, and Florida is 4-2.
