Angel City vs. FC Juarez: How to watch friendly, live stream

It’s NWSL vs. Liga MX Femenil in Sunday’s match at BMO Stadium

Angel City FC will face Liga MX Femenil side FC Juárez in a friendly at BMO Stadium on Sunday night.

Angel City has been idle for nearly two weeks, having lost 1-0 to Gotham FC in the semifinal of the NWSL x Liga MX Femenil Summer Cup on August 6.

Now the NWSL side will have one final tune-up before it resumes league play against California rivals San Diego Wave on Saturday.

Angel City is in 11th place in the NWSL table, but just three points behind the eighth and final playoff spot.

Angel City welcomed back Christen Press during the Summer Cup, as the  forward made her first two appearances since tearing her ACL in June 2022.

Press may be ready to ramp up her minutes against Juárez, which didn’t participate in the Summer Cup. The club is currently in 11th place in the 18-team Liga MX standings, beginning the season with a record of 2W-0D-4L.

Here is everything you need to know ahead of the game.

FC Juarez vs. Club America: How to watch, TV channel, streaming

The defending champions look to right the ship in a difficult away match

Club América travels to face FC Juárez on Saturday night as it looks to overcome some early-season struggles.

América is aiming for three straight titles after clinching the Clausura in May with a win over Cruz Azul in the final.

But Las Aguilas have started their title defense off with two defeats from three games, losing 1-0 at Tigres in midweek to fall to 13th place in the table.

Juárez has not fared any better than its opponent on Saturday, losing twice and drawing once in its opening three games. A midweek home defeat to Pumas made it two defeats in a row for Maurício Barbieri’s side.

These two sides met last month in a friendly, drawing 1-1 in a match played at the Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso, Texas.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the match.

Why plus money on Atlas against the struggling FC Juarez offense could be a steal

Atlas has allowed the fewest goals in the Liga MX this season.

Atlas busted out of a three-match scoring drought in a big way last week against Queretaro, scoring three goals in their first win since Feb. 6.

They take that momentum into Friday’s match against a team even more desperate for a win. FC Juarez hasn’t won a match since a 2-0-1 start to the season and sits at just 12th in the Liga MX standings. They’ll be slight underdogs at home against fourth-place Atlas with +280 odds to win on Tipico Sportsbook.

Tremendous value still exists on the other side, however, with +120 odds on an Atlas win. Considering how the Atlas side defends the net, that’s where the good money is.

FC Juarez vs. Atlas FC Odds

Moneyline: FC Juarez (+280), Atlas FC (+120), Tie (+185)

Both Teams To Score: Yes (+130), No (-190)

[tipico]

The three goals Atlas allowed during its recent three-game winless streak is as many as they allowed in the previous five games — and two of those goals came in one match. The six goals they’ve allowed in total this season are tied for the fewest in the league. Meanwhile, FC Juarez has the fewest goals scored in the league with seven.

Against like opponents, Atlas has a +2 differential over FC Juarez, twice scoring — and winning — against opponents Juarez was unable to.

Odds on a tie are +185, but a 1-0 (+550) or 2-1 (+1200) outcome is more likely in favor of Atlas.
