NFL Week 6 picks: Almost all experts taking Rams to beat Cardinals

Experts are heavily favoring the Rams in this matchup, with 98% of them taking Los Angeles to beat the Cardinals

There’s no doubt about which team is favored to win Sunday’s game between the Los Angeles Rams and Arizona Cardinals. The Rams are at home and head into this contest as 7-point favorites, but the oddsmakers aren’t the only ones who expect Los Angeles to win.

According to Tallysight, of the 266 experts who have made a pick in this game, 98% of them are taking the Rams to win outright. The gap is significantly smaller when factoring in the spread, as only 54% expect the Rams to cover the spread against Arizona. There’s a large contingent of experts who think this game will go under the total of 49 points, too; 67% are taking the under.

The Rams haven’t been heavily favored in any games yet this season, so this will be a different type of game for them. They’re used to being the underdogs, but it’s easy to see why they’re expected to win this one.

Kyler Murray is still out, James Conner is sidelined and Budda Baker is on injured reserve. Sure, Arizona still has Marquise Brown and Zach Ertz, and Josh Dobbs is playing pretty well at quarterback, but the talent is still lacking on both sides of the ball.

If the Rams don’t cover the spread, they should at least win the game by a handful of points against this shorthanded, 1-4 Cardinals squad.

Colts vs. Titans: NFL experts make Week 5 picks

Here’s who the experts are picking to win this divisional matchup.

The Indianapolis Colts (2-2) and Tennessee Titans (2-2) are preparing for what is expected to be a physical matchup in Week 5 at Lucas Oil Stadium.

While this will be the Colts’ third division game thus far in the young season, the Titans are playing in their first matchup against an AFC South opponent in 2023.

Vegas has the Colts sitting as 2.5-point underdogs at home in this matchup, according to BetMGM.

Here’s how the experts around the league see this matchup shaking out:

Bleacher Report Colts 26-23 Link

Over at Tallysight, 60% of the analysts have the Colts walking away with a home victory. In terms of the 2.5-point spread, 57% of analysts believe the Colts will cover.

This should be a physical matchup. It always is with the Mike Vrabel-led Titans. It will be an interesting matchup considering how well the Titans play against the run, but it would be a huge boost if the Colts got Jonathan Taylor back from the PUP list.

The Colts matchup well through the air against a shaky Titans secondary so it will be interesting to see how that impacts the game plan.

Regardless, this game is expected to come down to the wire, and the outcome likely will have a big impact down the road.

Who are the experts picking in Panthers vs. Lions?

NFL experts are picking exactly who you think they’re picking for Week 5’s matchup between the Panthers and Lions.

The NFL experts put on a clean sweep of the Carolina Panthers last week, picking the Minnesota Vikings to triumph in last Sunday’s matchup. And, well, they were right—all 36 of them.

Unfortunately for the 0-4 Panthers here in Week 5, it seems to be the same story for their trip to see the 3-1 Detroit Lions.

Here are this week’s picks:

NFL Week 5 picks: Who the experts are taking in Commanders vs. Bears

The Commanders don’t often respond well as overwhelming favorites. Will this be different?

Can the Washington Commanders (2-2) snap a two-game losing streak on Thursday Night Football against the Chicago Bears (0-4)?

Both teams head into Thursday night looking to bounce back from disappointing losses. The Commanders fell in overtime to one of the NFL’s best teams, the Philadelphia Eagles, while the Bears blew a 21-point second-half lead in a loss to the Denver Broncos.

This is a rematch of the Week 6 version of Thursday Night Football from one year ago. That game was more known for Washington head coach Ron Rivera’s postgame rant than the action on the field. The action on the field resulted in a 12-7 Commanders’ victory.

A lot has changed since that time, something Rivera acknowledged this week.

So, who wins? Rivera’s current team, or the franchise in which he played all nine of his NFL seasons?

The experts have spoken, and 95% of the experts are riding with the Commanders on Thursday night, according to NFL Pickwatch.

This is a different feeling for Washington, who is often on the other side of these predictions. In past years, the Commanders were disappointed when they were big favorites.

Will that happen again on Thursday?

Is this a trap game for the Commanders? It may be too early to call this a trap game, but this game will be a lot closer than most believe.

Who the experts are taking in Jets vs. Chiefs

A round up of some media picks for Jets-Chiefs. They will shock you. (No, they won’t.)

The Jets are back under the bright lights of Sunday Night Football in Week 4 as they play host to the Kansas City Chiefs. They’ll be rocking their Legacy jerseys again as well, jerseys in which they are 1-0 for the record.

It’s certainly a very tall task taking on the defending champions with Zach Wilson under center and not Aaron Rodgers. Do any of the top media experts think the Jets can pull the major upset? Here’s a roundup of some of those picks.

NFL Week 4 picks: Who the experts are taking in Commanders vs. Eagles

The Commanders are facing the same long odds as they did in Week 10 last season.

Can the Washington Commanders pull off another miracle?

In Week 4, the Commanders (2-1) open their NFC East schedule with a trip to Philly to face the division-leading Philadelphia Eagles (3-0).

The last time these teams met was under similar circumstances. It was Week 10 of last season, and the Commanders headed to Philadelphia as massive underdogs. The Eagles, much like now, were unbeaten and arguably the NFL’s best team.

What happened?

The Commanders controlled the game from start to finish, running 81 offensive plays, compared to 47 for the Eagles, possessed the ball for 40 minutes and forced four turnovers in a 32-21 upset win.

Can they do it again? The Eagles quickly opened as a touchdown favorite over the Commanders, and that line is now at 8.5 points, according to BetMGM.

We know how Vegas feels, but what about the experts? According to NFL Pickwatch, 98% of the picks favor the Eagles. Last season, 99% picked the Eagles.

So, there’s a chance.

Colts vs. Rams: NFL experts make Week 4 picks

Here’s who the experts are picking in the Week 4 matchup between the Colts and Rams.

The Indianapolis Colts (2-1) are preparing to host the Los Angeles Rams (1-2) at Lucas Oil Stadium for a Week 4 matchup on Sunday.

As both teams have started the season showing some surprisingly scrappy competitiveness, this should be a game that comes down to the wire, especially with the injuries that have hit both sides.

Vegas has the Colts sitting as slight favorites at home in this matchup with a one-point spread, according to BetMGM.

Here’s how the experts around the league see this matchup shaking out:

Expert Pick Score (if applicable) Link
Nate Davis (USA TODAY) Colts 23-20 Link
Jarrett Bell (USA TODAY) Rams 20-17 Link
Lorenzo Reyes (USA TODAY) Colts 24-20 Link
Mike Clay (ESPN) Rams Link
Dan Graziano (ESPN) Colts Link
NFL Network Rams 22-20 Link
Bill Bender (Sporting News) Rams 23-21 Link
Pete Prisco (CBS Sports) Rams 20-17 Link
Cam DaSilva (Sportsbook Wire) Rams Link
Bleacher Report Colts 26-24 Link

Over at Tallysight, 62% of the analysts have the Rams walking away with a victory in this game despite the close spread. In terms of that spread, only 39% of analysts believe the Colts will cover a one-point spread.

This game should be a competitive matchup throughout. The Colts are going to be without starting left tackle Bernhard Raimann and center Ryan Kelly, both of whom are in the concussion protocol.

They will be getting Anthony Richardson back, though, and there’s a chance that makes all the difference. But having an inexperienced center and left tackle line up against Aaron Donald is a recipe for disaster.

Still, the Colts have shown they can be competitive even without all of their starting pieces in place while the Rams have shown they are likely to exceed expectations this season with a resurgent Matthew Stafford slinging the ball as if he’s 10 years younger.

This should make for a fun matchup in the Circle City on Sunday and one that should come down to the wire.

NFL Week 4 picks: Most experts picking Rams to beat Colts

The Rams are underdogs this week, but most of the experts are picking them to beat the Colts on Sunday

In the eyes of the oddsmakers, the Los Angeles Rams are slight underdogs against the Indianapolis Colts this weekend. But if you look at who the experts are picking, they’re leaning more toward the Rams over the Colts.

According to Tallysight, 63% of the 212 experts who picked the game are taking the Rams to beat the Colts. Unsurprisingly, 62% are also taking the Rams to cover the spread, with most books having Los Angeles as a 1-point underdog to Indianapolis.

In terms of the over/under, 64% believe the total will go under 46 points.

The Colts were without Anthony Richardson last week after he suffered a concussion in Week 2, but he seems on track to return this weekend against the Rams. Gardner Minshew played well in his place and even led the Colts to a win over the Ravens, but Richardson brings an added element of rushing ability to the quarterback position.

The biggest question for Los Angeles isn’t whether it’s Richardson or Minshew, but whether the offensive line can hold up against the Colts’ pass rush. If not, we could see a repeat of Monday’s game against the Bengals.

Week 3 picks: Who the experts are taking in Bucs vs. Eagles

Writers and pundits don’t seem to have faith in the Bucs despite Tampa Bay’s prowess over the first two games of the season.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to defend a 2-0 record, but based on the way experts are picking this week, it may not seem like it.

Pundits and writers have released their Week 3 picks for the NFL slate this weekend, and Tampa Bay isn’t favored to beat the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night football by most people’s metrics. The Bucs faced a similar situation in Week 1 against the Minnesota Vikings, but the team won that game 20-17. Now, the team seeks to prove the doubters wrong again and get a win against the defending NFC champions at home.

Here is how experts predicted Monday’s game will go:
