Report: OKC Thunder add Buddy Boeheim to Exhibit-10 deal.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have signed Buddy Boeheim to an Exhibit-10 deal, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania. He will join OKC in its summer league squad.

Boeheim went undrafted in 2022. The 24-year-old went to Syracuse for four college seasons from 2019-22. He is the son of legendary college coach Jim Boeheim, who coached the Orange from 1976-2023.

He’s spent the last two seasons with the Detroit Pistons. He was on a two-way deal and played in the G League. He’s averaged 2.5 points in 8.7 minutes throughout 20 games in his tenure.

The Thunder can get his G League rights and add him to the OKC Blue if he impresses enough during summer league. He will get a chance to get serious minutes, especially down the stretch of the multi-week event.

The 24-year-old spent a year in JUCO before transferring to Bradley, where he played three seasons from 2021-24. He was a starter during his entire tenure at the MVC school.

OKC Thunder sign Rutgers’ Caleb McConnell to exhibit-10 deal

The Thunder added an undrafted free agent.

The roster additions don’t stop following the final pick of the NBA draft. Undrafted free agency is another avenue teams use to add to their roster. The pool of talent is large as teams negotiate with players who were not selected in the two rounds.

The Oklahoma City Thunder signed undrafted free agent Caleb McConnell to an exhibit-10 deal, per Rutgers University.

Exhibit-10 deals give teams the option to look at someone before they commit to them on a two-way deal. This means McConnell will have summer league and likely the preseason to persuade OKC to add him to their roster in one of its two-way spots.

The 24-year-old spent five college seasons at Rutgers (2018-2023). In 28 games last season, he averaged 9.1 points on 39.5% shooting, 5.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists. He also shot 20.3% from 3 on an average of 2.3 attempts per game.

He previously posted about his workout with the Thunder on his Instagram story on June 11.

Report: After Samanic, Valentine, Reeves and Kissoonnlal Maine Celtics offers, Boston plans to add another player to G League affiliate

Having also signed several players to Exhibit-10 deals, the Celtics reportedly also plan to add another player to Maine’s roster.

The Boston Celtics have been making moves to finalize their regular-season roster ahead of the opener on Oct. 18 against the Philadelphia 76ers. Per reporting from the Boston Globe’s Adam Himmelsbach, they have also been lining up players for their G League affiliate, the Maine Celtics, for the 2022-23 campaign.

Per Himmelsbach, both Luka Samanic and Denzel Valentine are set to join the team’s Portland-based G League affiliate with a $50,000 bonus awaiting them if they spend at least 60 days with the Maine Celtics. Recently waived wing Brodric Thomas will not join the Maine Celtics; Boston does not hold his draft rights.

Having also added both Roxbury native AJ Reeves and big man Reggie Kissoonlal to Maine’s roster, the Celtics reportedly also plan to add another player via the Exhibit-10 contract that creates the $50,000 bonus for sticking with the team.
