It’s almost weekend time once again. Whether you’ve had a breezy few days or another grueling work week, everyone deserves some quality RnR. So kick back, and grab the latest freebies off Epic’s storefront.

This week, Boom Boxer DLC for Rumbleverse is free on the Epic Games Store until Aug. 25, 2022, at 8:00 A.M. PDT // 11:00 A.M. EDT // 3:00 P.M. GMT. Most people enjoy this game, even if it has free-to-play launch woes currently.

That’s not all, either. Doom 64 is also free on the Epic Games Store until Aug. 25, 2022, at 8:00 A.M. PDT // 11:00 A.M. EDT // 3:00 P.M. GMT. Often considered “the real Doom 3” by fans, Doom 64 more than lives up to that reputation. As the name implies, it originally came out on the Nintendo 64 with little fanfare, primarily because everyone was more into 3D shooters like Goldeneye and Turok at the time — Doom 64 has stood the tests of time better than either of those, though. Next week, Ring of Pain will be free on the Epic Games Store from Aug. 25, 2022, until Sept. 1, 2022. This one is a roguelike card battler that’s pretty popular. It currently has the prestigious “Very Positive” user rating on Steam. Probably worth checking out, then.

Once again, we peruse Epic’s fine wares before setting off for the weekend. It’s like shopping for silverware – only there’s nothing fancy about downloading digital copies of video games. Look, this analogy doesn’t work, so let’s just carry on already!

This week, Cook, Serve, Delicious! 3?! is free on the Epic Games Store until Aug. 18, 2022, at 8:00 A.M. PDT // 11:00 A.M. EDT // 3:00 P.M. GMT. This one is somewhat of a party favorite since managing food trucks is solid co-op fun. Most fans believe this is the best installment in the series too! You can download it here.

Next week, the Boom Boxer set for Rumbleverse will be free on the Epic Games Store from Aug. 18 until Aug. 25, 2022. It’s only DLC for an already free-to-play title, but the flashy threads are exclusively available on this storefront for a limited time. So adding it to your account if you take up Rumbleverse isn’t a bad idea. Can’t hurt, anyway.

According to the “Overwhelmingly positive” user rating on Steam, people love this game. Managing food trucks is undoubtedly an underserved market. Did you get that one? Ok, I’ll stop.

Thank goodness the week (and month) is almost over, eh? As July passes us by, so too does the ridiculous summer heat. Unfortunately, sweater weather is still a ways off. It’s good then that staying inside and playing free PC games courtesy of Epic Games is always an option.

Next week, Unrailed! will be free on the Epic Games Store from Aug. 4 until Aug. 11, 2022. It’s some sort of multiplayer co-op title where people work together to build track tracks. An unusual premise for sure, but it also has a “Very Positive” rating on Steam. So checking it out seems worth the effort.

This week, Tannenberg is free on the Epic Games Store until July 28, 2022, at 8:00 A.M. PDT // 11 A.M. EDT // 4 P.M. GMT. It’s a competitive first-person shooter with an emphasis on history. Shop Titans, a free-to-play shopkeeper sim, is also giving away $100 of in-game items — so there’s never been a better time to try it. You can pick both up here.

Jokes aside, the game has a decent “Mostly Positive” user rating on Steam. So it might be worth checking out!

This week, Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap and Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms are free on the Epic Games Store until July 21, 2022, at 8:00 A.M. PDT // 11 A.M. EDT // 4 P.M. GMT. The former is a cute platformer, while the latter is some sort of Dungeons & Dragons strategy management title. You can pick both up here.

Next week, Shop Titans and Tannenberg will be free on the Epic Games Store from July 21 through July 28, 2022. These are interesting additions, mainly because Shop Titans is already free on Steam, so this (probably) isn’t a limited-time deal for Epic. 

Tannenberg, on the other hand, certainly is. It has an impressive “Very Positive” user rating on Steam. Not sure how active the multiplayer scene is for this, but it’s probably worth checking out if you like realistic first-person shooters.

Anyone that loves co-op zombie shooters should check out Killing Floor 2, while Ancient Enemy looks like a great card battler RPG. You can download both right here.

The weekend is upon us, meaning Epic is giving away a fresh batch of PC games. It’s too hot outside, so don’t feel bad about hiding away in your air-conditioned hovel while playing these. That’s how I try to justify my goblin mode habits, anyway.

This week, Hood: Outlaws & Legends, Geneforge 1 – Mutagen, and Iratus: Lord of the Dead are free on the Epic Games Store until July 7, 2022, at 8:00 A.M. PDT // 11 A.M. EDT // 4 P.M. GMT. The first is a stealth title, while the latter two are RPGs. You can download all three off Epic’s storefront here.

Next week, Killing Floor 2 and Ancient Enemy will be free on the Epic Games Store from July 7 through July 14, 2022, at 8:00 A.M. PDT // 11 A.M. EDT // 4 P.M. GMT. The former is an excellent co-op shooter. Think Left 4 Dead but with six players fighting off growing legions of nightmarish monsters in wave-based encounters. It also has about five years’ worth of DLC, so there’s no shortage of content. 

Ancient Enemy is an RPG card battler that came out back in April 2020. There are not many impressions for this one, but it does have a “Very Positive” user rating on Steam. So it might be worth checking out if you’re into this sort of game.

Not all that familiar with this one, but it’s some sort of puzzle adventure title that folks love. It’s sitting at an impressive “Overwhelmingly Positive” user rating on Steam. Download it for free off Epic’s storefront here.

EDT // 4 P.M. GMT. Goodness, talk about games with polar opposite appeals unless you’re a nerd for fantasy and cars.

One last grand mystery reveals itself. By that, I mean there’s a new free PC game on Epic’s storefront. Just in time for the weekend!

This week, Maneater is free on the Epic Games Store until June 16, 2022, at 8:00 A.M. PDT // 11:00 A.M. EDT // 4:00 P.M. GMT. You can download it here. I haven’t played this one, but it’s apparently pretty fun, if not somewhat repetitive. Perfect freebie material, then.

That does it for Epic’s mystery giveaways. We somehow ended up with free Borderlands 3, BioShock, and Wolfenstein. Aside from today’s addition, that was pretty much a first-person shooter giveaway month.

Epic is returning to the standard format of announcing what titles will be free ahead of time. So next week, Supraland is free on the Epic Games Store from June 16 through until June 23. This one is supposedly some sort of puzzle adventure with a tiny red stick figure. Not familiar with it, but it’s rocking an impressive “Overwhelmingly Positive” user rating on Steam. So seems worth checking out.
