ANother defensive lineman would be a nice add.
Auburn is hoping to use a strong early signing day to bolster the 2022 recruiting class.
Enyce Sledge, a three-star defensive lineman from Monroe, Louisiana, announced his top five schools ahead of early signing day on Dec. 15 and the Tigers are firmly in the mix. Sledge reportedly plans to sign on Dec. 15 but is not an early enrollee.
They will be battling Baylor, Indiana, Oklahoma State, and Texas Tech for the 6-foot-3.5 and 315-pound defensive tackle.
Sledge, a former Baylor commit, is scheduled to officially visit Auburn on Dec. 10. He is listed as the No. 136 defensive lineman in the country in the 247Sports Composite ranking.
Auburn, who has a need at defensive tackle, only has one currently committed in their 2022 recruiting class, four-star Caden Story — the Tigers’ highest-rated commit. Auburnโs class currently ranks 34th in the country and 13th in the SEC.
