PASS on Manchester City as the value just isn’t there.
Teams have off days and betting the -900 isn’t worth the risk. However, there are good bets in this lopsided match. One of the best values is Man City MF ILKAY GUNDOGAN (+105) to score.
He had his best EPL season last year with 13 goals and should benefit from the attacking prowess and distribution of Grealish and de Bruyne.
Given that he should get quite a bit of time and the Norwich City defense is less than ideal, the value on him putting one in the back of the net is a bet to take.
Over/Under (O/U)
BET on the OVER 3.5 (-110) as the best value in this match. Manchester City easily led the league with 83 goals last season.
While they don’t have a true 9, they do have a plethora of offensive-minded midfielders that should be able to push the pace. Man City had 83 goals in 38 matches last season. Yet, at the same time, they looked vulnerable against Tottenham when being counterattacked.
On the other side of the ball, Norwich City was able to put pressure on Liverpool. The match felt closer than 3-0 as a second-half onslaught hurt Norwich. Against a better attack in Man City, this could easily get out of hand.
