2025 four-star quarterback and Alabama football commit Keelon Russell was named the Elite 11 MVP!

For the first time since 2016, Alabama Crimson Tide football has a new quarterback named as the Elite 11 MVP with class of 2025 four-star quarterback [autotag]Keelon Russell[/autotag] earning the honor.

The last Alabama player to win the prestigious award was former five-star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

Russell was one of several high-profile quarterbacks that competed in the three-day event. The event includes individual drills, 7-on-7 competition, and instruction from quarterback experts. Overall, Russell was viewed as the best performer and was awarded the Elite 11 MVP.

Russell flipped his commitment from SMU to Alabama on June 4. Since then, Russell has confirmed that he is locked in with the Crimson Tide.

He has been active on the recruiting trail as well. The native of Duncanville, Texas is often seen reaching out to fellow prospects in the ’25 recruiting class on X to get them to commit to the Crimson Tide.

Five-star Alabama football quarterback commit [autotag]Julian Sayin[/autotag] has won the 2023 Elite 11 MVP. The Elite 11 is an annual quarterback competition that features the top gun-slingers from across the country.

Sayin was considered one of the favorites heading into the competition along with fellow five-star Dylan Raiola who is currently committed to the Georgia Bulldogs.

The last Alabama quarterback to win the Elite 11 MVP was in 2016 when the legendary Tua Tagovailoa took home the hardware.

Sayin has been committed to Alabama since November of 2022 and it appears his verbal is rock-solid with [autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] and the Crimson Tide.

Oklahoma Sooners 2023 commit Jackson Arnold continues to see his stock rise ahead of his senior season, earning 5-star status from 247Sports

With just one season of high school football under his belt, it was inevitable that Denton Guyer quarterback and 2023 commit Jackson Arnold would earn five-star status at some point between his commitment and national signing day.

In 247Sports latest update, Arnold, who helped lead Denton Guyer to the Texas 6A state championship game in 2021, received his fifth star.

He was a standout at the Elite 11 camp out in California a couple of weeks ago, earning the Elite 11 MVP award for his efforts.

Arnold is one of five quarterbacks with a five-star rating in the 2023 recruiting cycle. He joins Texas commit Arch Manning, USC commit Malachi Nelson, Tennessee commit Nicholas Iamleava, and Oregon commit Dante Moore as the five-star quarterbacks in the 2023 cycle.

Back in the first week of June, Arnold was given a five-star rating in the 247Sports composite database. signaling the growing status of the Sooners’ first commit of the Brent Venables era.

The Big 12 Conference announced its preseason awards on Thursday, including the Sooner QB as Newcomer of the Year.

Oklahoma State RB Chuba Hubbard took home offensive player of the year, while West Virginia DT Darius Stills was named defensive player of the year.

Rattler played in three games last season, going 7-11 for 81 yards and a TD.

The Phoenix, AZ. native was a five-star QB out of high school. 247Sports tabbed him as the No. 1 QB and No. 11 recruit in the class of 2019.

He also attended the 2018 Elite 11 and won MVP.

Should he win the job, Rattler is set to make his starting debut vs. Missouri State on Sept. 5.
