Steph and Ayesha Curry pledge meal donation for children during coronavirus school closures

Stephen and Ayesha Curry’s Eat. Learn. Play. foundation announces a food donation for out of school children during the coronavirus pandemic.

Stephen Curry was slated to play in his second game back from a broken hand injury on Thursday night against the Brooklyn Nets. However, games at Chase Center in San Francisco are currently on hold.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the NBA has suspended the 2019-20 season until further notice. Leagues going on hiatus may take over headlines in the sports world, yet the impact of COVID-19 stretches much farther than basketball.

While schools across the Bay Area are closing down due to the threat of coronavirus, the Curry family is trying to help. Stephen and Ayesha Curry announced their Eat. Learn. Play. foundation will make a food donation to aid out of school children.

Eat. Learn. Play is working with the Alameda County Community Food Bank and the Oakland Unified School District to ensure every child who relies on their school system for food will be getting breakfast and lunch.

The Currys are calling for others to join their pledge.

We’re trying to do our part, and hopefully, you can join the fight with us and have each other’s backs as we go through this uncertain time in our community.
