The Atlanta Hawks will meet the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals from the Fiserv Forum on Thursday night.

The Hawks tied up the series with a 110-88 win over the Bucks in game four and they were without Trae Young. Atlanta’s head coach Nate McMillan pulled his team together and that was the best Hawks team wins all season long. As for the Bucks, they played half the game without Giannis and he is still questionable for tonight as they look to bounce back and take the lead in the series at home.

Trae Young, Atlanta Hawks fall flat in game two of the Eastern Conference Finals

Former Oklahoma Sooners star Trae Young wasn’t able to lead the Hawks to second-consecutive win in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Well, things didn’t go as well for Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks in game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals as they did in game one. The Milwaukee Bucks came out on fire on both ends of the floor, forcing Young into one of his worst performances of the 2021 NBA Playoffs.

On the night, Young shot just 37.5% from the field and had nine turnovers. His 16 points and his three assists were the fewest he’s totaled in his 14 playoff games. The nine turnovers that Milwaukee forced him into were the most he’s had in a game all season. His previous high mark for turnovers was eight back in March.

Young wasn’t the only Atlanta player with turnovers, as the team combined for 19 on the game. It was an uncharacteristic game as they came into the playoffs averaging 13.8 turnovers per game, which was 23rd in the NBA in the 2020-2021 season. They were 20th in turnovers per 100 possessions.

It was a disappointing performance for Trae Young and the Hawks. With an opportunity to take a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals, they were pretty much out of it by halftime.

After a first quarter that saw the Bucks with just a six-point lead, Milwaukee stormed ahead with a huge second quarter, outscoring the Hawks by 26 in the frame to take a 32 point lead into halftime.

Giannis Antetokounmpo played a great game, scoring 25 points on 11-18 shooting, and the Bucks got 22 points from Jrue Holliday. Brook Lopez provided 16, and Khris Middleton added 15 points in the starting lineup.

Trae Young and the Hawks will now head back to Atlanta with the series tied 1-1. At home this season, the Hawks were 25-11. The Bucks were 20-16 on the road. To retake control of the series, the Hawks must find a way to bounce back on their home court.

The Atlanta Hawks will meet the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals from the Fiserv Forum on Wednesday night.

The Hawks are coming off a 103-96 win over the Philadelphia 76ers to close out the series in seven games and will look to bring some of that hustle and momentum to the series versus the Bucks. Meanwhile, the Bucks are coming off a 115-111 win over the Brooklyn Nets in seven games and will be ready for this one tonight.

Jaylen Brown blew a kiss to the Miami Heat bench during the Celtics’ big run

SPICY.

The Boston Celtics fought for their playoff lives in the second half of their 121-108 win in game 5 against the Miami Heat.

They fell down big in the first half, but managed to get loose offensively in the second half and it was all thanks to Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum. They put the Heat away.

The two Jays combined for 59 of the Celtics points in the win. Brown, himself, had 28 and went on a crucial 6-0 run in the fourth quarter to stave off the Heat one last time as they tried to mount a comeback.

He hit back-to-back 3-pointers that caught nothing but net. He sent them home with his shots and he absolutely knew it. After the second one, he blew Heat a goodbye kiss for good measure.

SPICY. That’s what I call playing with confidence. And the Celtics needed every bit of it to extend the series.

Hopefully for Celtics fans, they show up with that same confidence in game 6 to extend the series one more time.

Former Warrior Andre Iguodala plays 19 minutes in Heat vs. Celtics Eastern Conference Finals Game 5

During game five of the Eastern Conference Finals, former Warrior Andre Iguodala tallied two points for the Heat against the Celtics.

Instead of preparing for a run through the postseason, the Golden State Warriors have already moved on to their offseason minicamp at Chase Center in San Francisco.

While the Warriors take the court for the first time since March, the rest of the league is still paying attention to the action inside the Orlando Bubble. With no games on the calendar for Golden State, Warriors Wire is highlighting ex-Dubs at Disney Land.

With a chance to extend his NBA Finals streak to six consecutive years, former Golden State forward Andre Iguodala suited up for a matchup with the Boston Celtics in game five of the Eastern Conference Finals.

After playing a series-high 27 minutes in game four, Iguodala logged 19 minutes off the bench in game five, scoring two points on 1-of-5 shooting from the field. The veteran added four rebounds, two blocks and a steal.

Although his numbers were limited, the 2015 NBA Finals Most Valuable Player laced up with an exclusive edition of Kobe Bryant’s signature shoe. Iguodala brought Miami’s Vice colorway to the classic Nike kicks.

Via @NickDePaula on Twitter:

Rising star Tyler Herro scored 14 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the field with three rebounds and an assist in 29 minutes off the bench for Erik Spoelstra. With Herro unable to recreate his historic performance from game four, veteran Goran Dragic led the Heat with 23 points four rebounds and four assists.
.
Despite six members of the Heat recording double-figures in scoring, the Celtics were able to extend the series for another game behind strong outings from Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

In Boston’s 121-108 victory, Tatum marked a game-high 31 points on 8-of-22 shooting with 10 boards and six assists. Brown backed his young teammate with 29 points and eight rebounds in 39 minutes.

Former Warrior Andre Iguodala logs series-high 27 minutes in Heat vs. Celtics Game 4

In game four of the Eastern Conference Finals, ex-Warrior Andre Iguodala scored three points in 27 minutes for the Heat against the Celtics.

While the Golden State Warriors are kicking off their offseason minicamp at Chase Center in San Francisco, four teams are still fighting for a chance at the NBA Finals inside the Orlando Bubble.

With Golden State not involved with the NBA’s postseason for the first time since 2012, Warriors Wire is checking in with former members of the Dubs at Disney Land.

Although the Warriors streak of five consecutive trips to the NBA Finals has ended, Golden State’s former sixth man has a chance to add to his appearances in the title series.

On Wednesday, Andre Iguodala laced up for game four of the Eastern Conference Finals series between the Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics. After playing only seven minutes in games two and three, the veteran forward logged a series-high 27 minutes in game four.

Iguodala tallied three points on 1-of-4 shooting with three steals, two assists and two rebounds. All four of Iguodala’s shots came from beyond the arc.

One of Iguodala’s assists led to a crucial bucket that helped seal the game for Miami. The 2015 Finals MVP kicked out a pass to an open Goran Dragic at the 3-point line. The Miami guard splashed the long-distance jumper to give the Heat a seven-point advantage with under two minutes remaining in the game.

Via @DrewShiller on Twitter:

Dragic finished the game with 22 points on 8-of-22 shooting from the field with five rebounds, three assists and two steals. While veterans like Iguodala and Dragic played a factor, it was a rookie that stole the show. Tyler Herro exploded for a game-high 37 points on 14-of-21 shooting from the field with five triples.

The Kentucky Wildcats product’s 37 point performance was second to only Hall of Famer Magic Johnson for the highest scoring mark for a 20-year-old in a postseason contest.

Following their 112-109 victory, the Miami Heat are only one victory away from punching a ticket to the NBA Finals. Iguodala and the Heat will suit up for game five on Friday at 5:30 P.M. PT.

Former Warrior Andre Iguodala goes scoreless in Heat vs. Celtics Eastern Conference Finals Game 2

During game two of the Eastern Conference Finals, former Warrior Andre Iguodala logged seven minutes for the Heat against the Celtics.

With the Golden State Warriors on the outside of the Orlando Bubble edition of the postseason, Warriors Wire is checking in with former members of the Dubs at Disney World.

Prior to game two, Iguodala was averaging 20.2 minutes per game in Miami’s 2020 playoff run. Iguodala’s only mark on the stat sheet came on a single assist in the second quarter of the contest.

Despite Iguodala’s minimal night in the boxscore, the Heat were able to manufacture a gritty 17 point comeback against the Celtics. Miami roared back in the third quarter, outscoring Boston 37-17.

Via @MiamiHEAT on Twitter:

On his way to recording a double-double, Bam Adebayo tallied 15 points on 7-of-8 shooting from the field with two rebounds, a block and a steal in the third quarter alone. The Kentucky product finished the game with 21 points and 10 rebounds.
