Three bets and one parlay to make in the Eagles-Giants game

The Philadelphia Eagles (11-5) have one last shot to finish the season strong before getting ready for playoffs against the New York Giants (5-11) on Sunday.

The Philadelphia Eagles (11-5) have one last shot to finish the season strong before getting ready for playoffs against the New York Giants (5-11) on Sunday. Both teams have different immediate futures they’ll be looking to in the postseason, but will remain focused on what they see from their players in future games like this one.

The Eagles are (-200) favorites on BetMGM with the Giants being (+250) underdogs at home. Check out more bets and a parlay for this NFC East season finale matchup.

Jalen Hurts Anytime TD

Granted, the Eagles may choose to rest their starters and makeshift somewhat of a “bye week” that the team is going to need heading into the postseason, but if not, I expect a Hurts anytime touchdown at some point in the game. I think they might give him the touchdown opportunity and then put Marcus Mariota in, but I don’t see a world where Hurts wouldn’t get a rushing touchdown to round out the season finale.

Saquon Barkley Anytime TD

I’d say the same for Barkley. Against a divisional opponent, I’d assume Barkley is ready to throw a wrench in the Eagles’ playoff plans. In Week 16, Barkley earned a rushing touchdown and I think he’s capable of delivering again. If the Eagles defense is resting, this bet should almost be a given and you’ll probably find better value parlaying this with other bets.

O 38 Total Points

Regardless of who plays on Sunday, I think both teams are capable of putting up points to round out the season. I think whoever starts with the ball will set the momentum for the rest of the game. It’s an NFC East division on the line, so I think the Giants are either going to be trying to stop the Eagles or not care as much and just focus on good NFL Draft positioning.

Eagles to wear all-black uniforms for critical Christmas Day matchup vs. Giants

The Philadelphia Eagles are switching things up and going with their all-black uniforms for the Christmas day matchup against the New York Giants

The Eagles have lost three games in a row, and with the team returning to Lincoln Financial Field in need of some mojo, the all-black alternates uniforms are being pulled out.

Philadelphia’s top-rated social media team broke the news that a switch-up was needed.

Philadelphia hasn’t gone with the All-Black since the Week 18 matchup last January, in which Jalen Hurts returned to the lineup and secured his team’s No. 1 overall seed.

In that game, Hurts returned from a sprained right shoulder and threw for 229 yards in a 22-16 win over the New York Giants.

Jake Elliott was the real hero on the night, converting field goals of 32, 52, and 39 yards in the first half. Boston Scott ran for an 8-yard touchdown — 10 of his 17 career TDs are against the Giants — and the Eagles took a 16-0 lead into halftime.

Eagles-Giants season finale likely to be played in primetime

The Eagles season finale vs. Giants is trending towards being a Saturday or Sunday night primetime lock after the NFL flexes Dolphins-Chargers in Week 14

The Eagles (10-1) just defeated the Packers wearing their alternate black helmets for the first time this season, and they could repeat the recipe in Week 18.

Philadelphia and the New York Giants are scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. EST matchup at MetLife Stadium in Week 14 and that contest had the potential to be flexed into a late afternoon or primetime slot.

The NFL knows best and is saving the best for last after flexing the Chargers’ matchup against the Dolphins in Week 14 to Sunday night football.

The NFL Chose that matchup over the Kansas City Chiefs (8-2) and the Denver Broncos (3-7), moving away from MVP candidate Patrick Mahomes against the slumping Russell Wilson.

The NFL’s flexible scheduling is in effect from Weeks 11 to 18, and only Sunday afternoon games can be moved into Sunday night.

CBS and Fox have several games being protected, and the league has to announce any flexible schedule changes no later than 12 days prior to the game (Week 18 changes can be announced six days in advance).

With that Chargers-Dolphins move being finalized, expect Eagles vs. Giants in Week 18 at Lincoln Financial Field to get the Sunday Night Football treatment.

That will have playoff implications, and depending on how Eagles-Cowboys in Week 16 and Eagles-Saints in Week 17, the season finale against the Giants could impact the NFC East and the No. 1 overall seed in the NFC.

The contest could be played on Saturday or Sunday night depending on how the league views the matchups and playoff implications around the NFL.

The NFL loves rating and this formula serves best for a Week 18 bonanza.
