Josh Jacobs recently told former Philadelphia pass rusher Chris Long that the NFL warned the Eagles and Packers about wearing Green during their trip to Brazil.

It’ll be an electric atmosphere in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and we’re predicting all black for this contest to be played at Corinthians Arena, which is home to the Brazilian soccer team Corinthians.

Josh Jacobs recently signed a lucrative contract with Green Bay and told former Philadelphia pass rusher Chris Long an exciting story about the league warning both teams about wearing Green during their trip.

“You know, they said that the part of Brazil we’re going to, you can’t even wear green at,” Jacobs said on Thursday’s episode of Green Light with Chris Long. “They said, I guess, something to do with the gangs and stuff.”

Thanks to the new NFL jersey rules, Philadelphia can’t wear the all-black alternates until 2025, meaning it’ll probably be midnight green, while Green Bay can play in all-white.

The Eagles brought back the alternate Kelly green home uniforms in 2023 to great fanfare, but because of NFL rules, teams were allowed only two helmet colorways.

The Kelly green return meant the loss of the all-black alternates for one season, but that’ll change in 2025 after the NFL announced a new ruling that approves a third helmet for all 32 teams.

Prior to the start of the 2022 season, star wide receiver DeVonta Smith stated that the team had wanted to switch to a new helmet for some time now.

“It’s something the majority of us as players always wanted – just a little change in uniform.”

Philadelphia went 2-0 last season wearing their Kelly green uniforms, beating the Bills and Dolphins.

The Philadelphia Eagles are switching things up and going with their all-black uniforms for the Christmas day matchup against the New York Giants

The Eagles have lost three games in a row, and with the team returning to Lincoln Financial Field in need of some mojo, the all-black alternates uniforms are being pulled out.

Philadelphia’s top-rated social media team broke the news that a switch-up was needed.

Philadelphia hasn’t gone with the All-Black since the Week 18 matchup last January, in which Jalen Hurts returned to the lineup and secured his team’s No. 1 overall seed.

In that game, Hurts returned from a sprained right shoulder and threw for 229 yards in a 22-16 win over the New York Giants.

Jake Elliott was the real hero on the night, converting field goals of 32, 52, and 39 yards in the first half. Boston Scott ran for an 8-yard touchdown — 10 of his 17 career TDs are against the Giants — and the Eagles took a 16-0 lead into halftime.
