Auburn football lands Northwestern transfer Dylan Senda

Auburn adds one more transfer to its impressive 2023 haul.

Just when you thought Auburn’s impressive 2023 class was full, they add one more.

Hugh Freeze has landed [autotag]Dylan Senda[/autotag], a transfer from Northwestern. Senda enrolled at Northwestern as a true freshman in January, but due to the dismissal of head coach Pat Fitzgerald, he elected to enter the transfer portal.

Before signing with the Wildcats, Senda was considered to be a three-star interior offensive lineman. He was the No. 39 IOL of the 2023 class and was the No. 12 overall recruit from the state of Michigan.

Although he is counted as a transfer, Senda is the sixth high school offensive lineman to sign with the 2023 class. In all, Auburn has signed 10 offensive linemen from the 2023 cycle.

Here’s a scouting report on Senda from 247Sports:

Will be able to play guard or center in college. Will be a bigger interior player. Multi-year starter with experience and is technically sound. Plays hard and has been consistent through his high school career. Has worked to improve his lateral agility and explosiveness. Will need to continue doing that and getting additional work in on flexibility and bend. Can move and get into the second level and plays with good balance. Higher floor prospect who will be a Power Five starter.

Senda, an interior lineman from Dearborn, Michigan, is listed as 6-5, 275 pounds.

Michigan State football makes top in-state OL Dylan Senda’s top-8

Michigan State is thickly in the running for a top in-state offensive lineman:

Dearborn Divine Child standout Dylan Senda has made the decision to cut his list down to eight teams on Monday. The Spartans have made the cut and were featured among the eight teams.

I wanted to cut my list down because I knew these were the ones (schools) I wanted to pursue the most after my visits and conversations with the coaches,” Dylan told Spartans Wire.

Michigan State is featured on the list with Cincinnati, Iowa, Miami, West Virginia, Penn State, Northwestern and Michigan.

Why did MSU make the list? That was an easy question for Senda.

Michigan State is having an amazing season. I am super happy for Coach Tucker, Coach Kap, Coach Jarrod and the team. Michigan State has always been one of my favorites,” Senda said.

Now that the list is down to 8, many are wondering when could we see the list cut even more.

Right now, I don’t have a timeline but I am getting a lot closer to knowing,” Senda said.

According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Senda is currently ranked as a 3-star and the No. 338 overall player, as well as the No. 8 player in the state of Michigan in the 2023 recruiting class.

Senda is seen by most as a guard or center prospect.

Mel Tucker has a known liking to bigger and stronger players. This recruit is no different as 6’5″ 285-pound offensive guard Dylan Senda announced on Wednesday that he received an offer from Michigan State University.

Senda, who attends Divine Child High School in Dearborn, Michigan, is a part of the class of 2023 and has no stars or rank on 247sports.

Senda has been offered by multiple Power 5 schools like Cincinnati, Kentucky, Maryland, Syracuse and Indiana.

Senda notes on his Twitter bio that he has a 3.8 GPA and is a multi-sport athlete. He also plays basketball and baseball, but his primary focus appears to be football. He also links a highlight reel in his bio and he looks like an absolute tank in them. He has the power and strength to push back his opponents and even pancakes a few of them. Expect him to be a 3- or 4-star recruit when 247sports releases that information on the class of 2023.
