Michigan State Football’s Dominique Long has bounced around between safety, cornerback, special teams, and back to safety, but one place he has stayed consistent is off the field, where he has consistently been one of the team’s top performers in the classroom. Due to that excellence off the field, Long has been named a semifinalist for the Campbell Trophy award, which is given to a student-athlete who has the best performance in academics, community service, and on the field.
Long will be competing this year for a spot in the starting lineup, a position that has eluded him for the past few years. Going into his senior season, Lon has 38 career tackles, with most of those coming on special teams.
